there are like 6 "disablepowermanagement" tweaks.

to be fair, i dont use pushmail, email polling, or IMAP idle, as i have my e-mail setup to text me when i get a new one, so no extra battery usage there.

also try lowering the time it takes for your screen/backlight to turn off/dim when not in use

The 6 tweaks you are referring to are they in a cab or in a list? Also, how did u set it so that a text will come to your phone when u get new email? Im currently using Quore Effects as a push email but since battery life is horrendous, i am up for more options....thanks

Fear not! I will do a good bench mark very soon. I did one for the Diamond and this is what I got. Continues web usage while playing my mp3's in the background. Back light was set to auto adjust. And I managed to get 4 hours and 15 minutes.

I use web2mail for push mail and am very happy with battery life on my phone. It's a free service. You can find a tutorial if you search for it. I pay $5/mo through them for the personal exchange service which allows you to change the 'from' address.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

It sounded sort of silly, but I have to admit. My battery life was pretty crummy the first few days and then I let it drain out and turn itself off. Then I let it charge overnight (about 6 hours) and since then my battery life has been much better. Originally, in my office, the battery only lasted about 4 hours with light usage and some switching in and out of roaming. Yesterday and today, with more usage (although still light) and just as much sprint/roaming switching it has been about 10 hours and the battery is still at 70%.

you cant do it with all e-mail providers, but if your provider has mail forwarding (google does) you can set it up to keep a copy and forward a copy. what you do is set it to forward to your_sprint_phone_number@messaging.sprintpcs.com - this will send a copy of the e-mail to your phone instantly as a text msg , alerting you you have new mail (usually message will be too long to read it all in the text though)
