Manual Roam Tweek
 

Has anyone figured out how to put the manual roam option under the phone options? I get very limited Sprint coverage at my house and would like to switch to roam manually. Seems like the radio likes to hold on to very little Sprint signal as long as possible. Thx!

Try this--it works on the Diamond

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\InitProv\PhoneSett ing

1) Change ItemCount to 3

2) Create new string (if doesn't exist): ItemName3 = Roaming. (Default = Automatic-B on my Diamond)

3) New Dword: ItemValue3 = 3

Soft reset. Go back to the settings you should now see roaming option.

I also modified a script posted on XDA to work w/ VGA. I now have a taskbar link to toggle between automatic and roaming. Works great!

Can you post the link to your XDA? I don't know if they allow that in this forum... Also, did you make a cab for the roam tweek or know if someone already did?

I didn't make a cab nor have I posted the script. I suppose I will within a few days. I simply took one that somone else created and modified the screen mapping to VGA as well as change the timing (the original script had needlessly long wait times).

Okay, I uploaded the VGA script. Make sure you have Mortscript installed and reg entries modified. I have this on my task bar and it toggles between roam and automatic on demand.

Was someone going to make a cab for the registry edit. I like having a cab so i can do a hard reset and rebuild almost anywhere (away from my computer) and in my area the roam only option is the first thing i put on when i hard reset. If I knew how id make it but I have no skills.

I installed this, and it goes to voice privacy and disables it every time, is that what it is supposed to do. I don't think it is forcing roaming????? any help is appreciated, this would make my life way easier.

Duuuudes; there is a cab on ppcgeeks; look it up. am on the Tp; otherwise I will hook it up.Look for“roam only”

Thanks but this doesn't help the Mortscript app to work for me, still goes to voice privacy, instead of opening phone settings. Does anyone have this working on touch pro?? I have used the correct VGA settings. Any help is appreciated.

I just realized my issues may be ROM related I am using Juggalos ROM, perhaps the menus are different? I have never seen them on the stock ROM.
