wow this sounds like ****...doesn't make a difference which cab i use. it just sounds like louder **** or not so loud ****...is my speaker blown or are they all like this?

Well, I think I have blown my speakers with the 100% volume fix...

When I bought my pro, the speakerphone and earpiece were muffled and bassy, but not crackly. Now, no matter what cab I install, or audiopara3 file I copy, I get this terrible crackling.

I am about to hard-reset my phone, and see if that magically fixes it.

I believe that those of us with crackling speakers, probably had bad speakers from the factory, and raising the volume to a NORMAL amount, just destroys them.

I bet HTC realized this, and that's why the volume comes so low from the factory...

edit: hard-reset... my volume seems about as loud as it was with the audiopara3 fix, but it's not crackily--well not as much. Still sounds muffled and bass-filled.

Strange though, that it's louder than it was when I bought it (I never hard-reset when I got it.)

I installed the "light" cab after not being able to hear a quiet talked earlier today. It worked like a charm, and is more than loud enough at half volume. I can't imagine what the 100% boost would do.

can anyone help i don't know how to do this fix. i have the touch pro from sprint. i downloaded the file that is posted in page 6. i got the light version and put it on my micro SD card then i got the file from the card and put in a folder inside my phone then i went to that file and hold it but didn't get the option that says extract. what am i doing wrong can any one help this is the first time i use Windows Mobile. thank in advance for your help.

i try the same way but with the one on the first page and it still doesnt say extract it only says cut, copy, rename, delete, send, beam file what can i do?
