Apologies but as far as i can see most of the conversation has been on par with the release of the touch pro. Maybe you should create a thread just for your carrier. Otherwise this thread will be used for all and at this time Sprint users are the most active..

More than likely the rest of you wont get it by Nov 2. So after Nov 2 we wont be here any more. We will be playing with our new phones.

My apologies for the delay the internet was down at work so its been hecktic. But spoke with sprint today about the release date, As stated there pushing for tomorrow or friday release. Are they promising it no. But that was the main discussion today one if it were possible and why. I did push the idea that releasing early would show customers that sprint values them, Sprint loves that statement from what I have seen. So its look good so far but as they stated it may not be released until Nov 2. and they are sticking to that statement

Telus:

Spoke with them today and there release information is showing in Nov. They have not release a exact date due to delay's with roms and branding. But they did state a nov. release

Problems with the touch pro:

I have been taking down every consistent issue I have seen and will then provide it once the touch pro review comes around, this will come around soon due to so updates are already in design as the engineneers have been busy from what I can see.

Touch HD

This was the next Confence call that was informative. HTC sprint are discussing FCC model review. Another HTC touch HD is being provided with the new CDMA design. HTC was fasinated with the fact the HD with the Radio swap did so well. Designs are also being discussed further.

If I missed anything please post it and I will catch up on it tonight for you.

Now, since you're the amazing tech guru that you are, do you think it would be possible to remove the GSM radio and solder on the CDMA radio for the Pro?

And do you know if they are planning on making minor changes to the pro in the future [physical changes, new edition]?

And anything about the battery cover yet?

Could you remove the radio yes that would not be the issue, Updateing the rom would be the difficult part.

As far as changes there are none planned but we all no sprint they like to wait to the last minute and then delay

Battery cover is still in discussion but sprint is pushing at HTC for this.

Ok then. How about this crazy idea.......... putting the CDMA internals into the GSM case. It probably won't work, but that would be one hell of a project! I would LOVE my phone then! ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

Thanks for the details Critical, good to know Telus is at least looking at Nov. On the topic of this CDMA Touch HD, if they were to proceed with this, from your experience how long could this idea take to come into fruition? Continuing on that track, if it were to take form, do you think Telus would pick it up?
