But -

Could you also tell me if the Sliver/Chrome on the sides is really black, but appears silver when you look at it from certain angles?

If the extended battery only makes it as thick as the mogul I'll deff be getting an extended battery

Depends how you hold the phone, I like to call it a metal chrome, between black and silver

Nothing is wrong with the backlite on the keyboard I just can't really remeber the color for the life of me! Im 90% sure its white, I have to wait for the engineneer to bring the test model back to verify it.

critical, been following this thread from day one. I may of missed it, in the other thread, but I do have one question.... What was the reason for removing the front camera? Was this a Sprint decision, a US version issue or the fact that it was not possible on the CDMA phone vs. its GSM counter part?

I just pulled the spec sheet for HTC backlit keyboards and LED requirements

Blue Colored keys - Require Blue LED

White Colored Keys - Require Cool White LED

Clear Keys - Require Red LED

Us version, Other country's support streaming LIVE video as with our network we could not support it due to the bandwidth restriction, The camera was removed due to no use. But.......

Thats why the engineneer has the test phone I want to know if the hardware is there and if it is there comes the customization!

since were on the subject of the accessories, do you have any idea where to get the cast that came with the GSM versios. i really really really want one of those. i keep my phone in my pocket most of the time, cant stand the belt clips. also, i would like to have it protected in my pocket so that case is ideal.

I wwas wondering if the hardware was removed or not myself. If not, as you said a customization may be in order and enabling to hardware/software.

I will be looking for a definate answer for this one.
