I prefer a keyboard as well. But I was really looking forward to trying a Touch HD. I read the article this morning and I couldnt believe will the "iPhone Killer" speculation that HTC would not want to bring the HD to the states. I think it would be in Microsoft's best interest to to encourage HTC to bring it here. Since it runs WinMo 6.1 and potentially WinMo7, they could use that phone to battle the iPhone as well as the Android devices that will be coming out. Just my opinion. |

i dont see why some are so broken up about this? htc already has things in the pipe that will blow the HD out of the water and that WILL make it stateside and even to some of our carriers (sprint for me)

Re: HTC not bringing Touch HD to the states....
The fact of the matter is that Europe and Asia not only will get the Touch HD they will get the newer phones that will come out later that will best the HD. It's annoying as hell to think that as Americans and because of the economic and bureaucratic climate/outlook towards cell phones in this country we lose the opportunity to have a wider selection of handsets. On the other hand our European and Asian counterparts get pretty much every single handset that comes out.
Not only is this because most Asian and European cell phone manfacturers feel that Americans don't buy high end handsets, it's also because our cell phone companies and the frequencies they use are all different and out of whack with the rest of the developed nations. Basically the bottom line is would you rather have more phones to choose from or less, and if so wouldn't it be nice to use any cell phone on any carrier for the most part? I definitely say yes. |

I 100% agree with this. We loose out on 90% of the best devices. I think that when these cellphone makers should always make two version of the device at the sametime. It will not only increase their revenue but also give us the best devices |
