Ecare (and pretty much any company that responds via email) has a habit of not reading emails all the way through. They have definitely messed up the math again on yours, and I would say that you are definitely going to have to renew your contract to get that deal (or any other deal really). On the other hand, why wouldn't you? You are saving $525 with this incorrect math on your account, and the early termination fee is either $175 or $200. Either way you are going to save $350 or $325 even if you do end up having to pay the early termination fee. I do not think there is any way you will get this device for any type of discount (let alone this extreme discount) without signing another contract. Sign the contract and even if you do end up having to terminate early the phone will still cost you less than the $299.99 retail.

I did the same thing, but apparently, as long as they don't specify that you can do it without renewing your contract, they will make sure to let you know when the time comes that you do, in fact, have to renew your contract. I went back and forth with them several times about this issue until I finally got someone who gave me the full truth about it. They're just simply not offering the same deals they used to. I got the Touch when it came out for $200 without contract renewal, rebates, or upgrades. I've tried to do that with the Touch Pro and it simply isn't working.

Where can you get an iPhone 3G for $175?

It was a typo, I meant $199. But I'm sure Sprint already knew that.

To all the other comments, I guess I'll wait and see what they say. If they make a stink about the 2 yr. renewal even, after I show them ALL my emails with ecare, I'll probably still renew for the phone at $75. You can't beat that. I wasn't trying to "take advantage" as a previous poster reffered, bc my Mogul is acting stupid (i only use the stylus now when typing...sux!). I think if they thought I was trying to commit fraud, they would've held to their guns. My account history speaks for itself with Sprint. Thanks to the rest of those who commented.

Attached is what I was able to accomplish. Touch Pro in my hands for 124.99. I may email them back to ask for 99.99 as I have 4 lines and have been a customer since 2004. What do you guys think? Am I asking too much to get the phone for 100 bucks? Is 124.99 a fair deal? I like Sprint I dont want to see them go out of business and Im not trying to screw them out of a brand new phone. I legitimately have an issue that I would like to resolve with a new device.

How long have you had your Mogul?

Agreed (at $200).

I'm getting mine for $199, but that's after SEVERAL e-mails back and forth, with them giving me a $50 credit for my Touch issues, then another $50 credit for them not being clear in their emails that I need to upgrade and extend contract.

$299 - $50 - $50

I'd love to see someone do better, though. That'd be a miracle.

sure the iphone is only 199 but it will cost you at least an extra 600 up to 1200 in extra monthly fees for an equivalent at&t plan over the course of your 2 year contract. the main cost of cell phones is not in the phone itself but in the plan, and i wish people would realize this....
