themuffinman mind sharing what you said? I complained before about my phone having problems never heard back from them and just dealt with the problems. I've been emailing them for about 10 days and all I get is the $150 off. I'm still waiting to be contacted to fix my issues and that was 10 days ago.

themuffinman: I think one difference between some of our experiences and yours and others is that your phone, being purchased in January, is still under warranty. They can afford to swap your phone out because they can send it back to the manufacturer for credit. Those of us who bought at launch are past the warranty period and Sprint would eat the entire cost. I'm guessing this accounts for all the people getting trade-out deals when the rest of us can barely get discounts.

I have to confirm that in the email sent to me it said since I was under the one year warranty they would be able to swap it out for the Pro and I would just pay the difference.

I reiterated my feeling that I'm going to be paying more for this phone than new customers are when I spent the last 18 months stuck with a phone that has continually not lived up to their initial advertising or the promises of updates to fix the problems, and it's not fair that I have to pay a higher price than their new customers to get a phone that actually works. She said that was the most discount they were able to give me, and I asked if there was another department that could do more for me. She hesitated before saying she didn't believe so, but that she could put in a request for me to be contacted by someone else to discuss it further. She made it clear she didn't think anything more could be done, but still told me I'd receive another call within 24 hours.

I'm willing to play hardball at this point. I'm about to have to change my calling plan completely off of a grandfathered plan that they've been trying to kick me off of for years, so they should be happy that there'll be one less customer getting a killer deal. Plus if I'm going to be changing anyway, this is a valid time for me to consider another carrier. Only reason I went over my limits is the company my wife and I work for now is all T-Mobile, so we're no longer using Sprint-to-Sprint for work calls. While a comparable T-Mobile plan doesn't cost any less, I wouldn't need a comparable plan if most of my calls were to other T-mobile users. So it would be reasonable for me to consider switching to them. Hopefully whomever I speak to realizes I really am on the edge of leaving. I'd hate to ACTUALLY have to leave.

i'm in that same boat.my touch is out of contract since july but is on a shared line that was renewed in july.someone called me but actually thought i was trying to get an instinct.when my billing cycle ends this month,i'm gonna play hardball.

Yeah, they tried to do that to me too. No way in hell am I paying a $50 deductible for damaged hardware when I didn't do anything to this phone.

Oh ok, the warranty never crossed my mind at all, I was beginning to think I was actually important. LOL

My previous post basically summed it all up. I sent a simple email talking in general about wanting to upgrade since I was unhappy with my moguls, they responded with their scripted apology, I then replied with specific details about why I am unhappy with my mogul, even told them that I never even had it serviced or anything. I just expressed that I need 2 units that work the way I needed them to and that I would hate having to go to another competitor. I even asked for a decent deal since I have been with them for 7 years and was willing to resign another contract. Not once did I mention anything about replacing the phone for free, I was willing to pay damn it. The next emal that came back stated that they have my diamonds ordered and to send the moguls back. I was like WTF? That really wasn't what I wanted nor expected but I am very excited. Time between the first and the last email was about 10hrs.

Re: Touch Pro for Mogul Ecare email inside...

I have a touch I got last november. its been locking up every night and seems laggy. I've never taken it know for repair. I sent an email to e-care explaing everything and that I wanted a replacement. they wrote me back offering to replace the phone by having me but another phone and then crediting my account $399.99 when they receive my old phone. they said I could replace it with any phone but I have to pay the difference. so I could get a touch pro when it comes out for around $200.00 ($599.00 - $399.99). I am due for a $75.00 credit november 1. I am wondering if I can apply that credit and get the phone for $125.00 if I renew my contract. thoughts?
