No Touch Pro Pre-Ordering Allowed?
 

So I just got off the phone with a Corporate rep at Sprint, and he said that they won't be allowing any pre-ordering of the Touch Pro. It seems HTC told them not to, and that they will have enough to meet the demand. He also said that the finish on the phone is a piano black so the pics were slightly misleading with that slightly grayish look. It seems that the phone is supposed to be in stores on that date as well, so we might as well hit the stores instead of Tele Sales.

Not sure if anyone else posted this, so I apologize if this is a duplicate post.

Is there a real benefit for buying the pro at the store? I really hate going to sprint stores in general, so I always pay my bill online and buy my phones over the phone with telesales or through the retention department.

I'm the same way sometimes but if there a chick in there n she thinks I'm cute = discounts or helping me find discounts. Waiving the fees to turn the phone on lil nick nack stuff like that so I won't mind going to pick this phone up from the store. Its only 1 store I go to anyway had a problem with the other store lying n just plain ole mean [Edited Due To Graphic Content] lol.

Oh ok, I have tried so many times to get some kind of discount off the phone and I can never seem to get them to budge in the store, I can get what I want over the phone for the most part though with overnight shipping.

I guess its all on who you get in the store. Had ppl who couldn't waive the fee to turning on a phone. Had ppl call up sprint and say hey go ahead and discount his phone he been with use for years and we really wanna keep this person happy so who knows when it comes to going to the sprint store. I think on this phone imma only get off 75 n that's it.

I'm ordering through the 3rd party rep assigned to the corporation I work with no matter what.

I'm kinda disappointed it won't be the grey. I like the grey, but piano black will work also.

Good topic, I was just thinking of this. I know when I bought my Mogul I got a phone upgrade discount and was able to put the balance on my Sprint account. I hope I can do the same with the Touch Pro......

I never go in store but I always get large discount over the phone. Not just free activation. So I'm probably gonna go that route.

And the free overnight shipping is nice... Even though sometimes it takes them awhile to process the order in house...

But the reps in the store leave a lot to be desired in my area... I avoid them like the plaque.

As far as the phone device, The HTC Touch Pro has not been released yet (nor is there a date set that I know of) so I can’t break down any of the pricing information. Do you want to wait for it?

If not, to proceed with the Touch Diamond I would need your payment info. Please email me the credit card type, name on the card, card number, exp date, and three digit code on the back and we will ship it to as soon as its released (tentatively 9/14). Once it ships I will email you a confirmation.

Try pointing them to their own website which shows the lease date and see if they can try going further up the chain to get you pre-ordered.

Indeed i did i even went on the evpdiscount.com website logged in and notice they snatched the diamond off the page. and the touch pro that im looking to pre order . another rep stated 10/19 is not confirmed and not in the system.:scratch:

This afternoon I conducting some business in the same shopping plaza as a Sprint corporate retail location, since I was in the area I walked to see what their status was for the Touch Pro, the associate that greeted me was blissfully unaware of the device launch date and admitted that they had only received Sprints press release yesterday (Sep.11) Even though the rest of the known universe learned pricing and dates a day earlier. The store rep didn't recommend purchasing directly from the store as they're unlikely to have the device in-stock on the actual release date, according to him.

Either way, I'm not going fool around with the clowns in the corporate store, I want this phone like a hooker needs heroin, I'm calling telesales and having it over-nighted the moment the crate from Japan clears U.S. customs.

LMAO, co-sign to the fullest. Telesales will be hearing from me on release day @ 12:01am, at 12:10 I'm gonna need a verifiable tracking number. I went to a Sprint/Radio Shack store today, associate behind the counter knew nothing of the Diamond or Touch Pro, had to direct him to HTC's website right there on his store pc.
