Bricked htc touch pro? Please help
 

Hi my (VERIZON) Htc touch pro was flashed to metro pcs using houdini when i got it it had mighty rom 5 on it it started to mess up so i went to put mighty rom 6 on it did fine got the loading bar on the phone and the computer it made it to 33% then cut out and said redo or something like that so i wnet through the steps again and reset the phone to get the boot menu and then hooked up the usb and the process started again and made it to 23% same thing happened it wont load roms when i turn it on all it says is verizon and wont load any further but i can hold volvme down and power to get the boot screen thats red green blue and white says as shown;:::

then in the white it says serial then i connect usb it will say usb please help me get a different rom or any rom back on my phone thanks

sory to here..
I don't have a TP now but had one.
I would try flashing a rom that is in a exe package so you just click it and it goes.
OR just keep trying different roms.
All current roms on the sit look good so just try them.
EDIT:
you can try flashing rom only, from the micro SD card.
That should work.
Simply rename the rom to "RHODIMG.nbh",
and insert it to your mem card, root directory(not in any folder)
disconnect from any pc.
initiate bootloader and it should give option to flash the rom you placed in your card.

op sdcard flash, theres a stcky on it in upgrades forum and its very simple. if need further help pm me incase i miss the post here. ill get the link. wrong forum for this thread also, general tp forum is place for this thread.

You've got to part where all you need to do is flash a rom. You are now in bootloader mode. Just flash a rom and you're set.

yes that was one of the main ones its 1ocked again someone to1d me so i have no rom on my phone therefore i cannot put the exe fi1e on the root of my phone (i never did get to) i can do the memory card fi1e just fine but with on1y the .bhn fi1e norma1 name or changet it wont read from it its formatted in fat 32 at the root so im 1ost grrrrr p1east post 1inks with down1oads to try i 1ooked and tryed a11 ways thats why i have to bug you guys (sorry) and thanks i do repairs on e1ectronics and xbox 360s and what not i used to do sony psp mods so i understand this stuff just am missing something

extract the nbh from exe on pc and rename it and put on root of sdcard. you can use pc to do this then enter manual boot. maybe im missing something you cant do yourself but ive done it 100 times on tp. think i see your issue, pull sdcard from phone put it in pc with adapter to read it, or is no pc a issue?

Dear all,

Even i have the same issue. I have HTC TP cdma sprint. I tried flashing through sd card by copying .nbh file with proper name. The device was able to detect the image and it shows "Loading" and it will be like that forever .. How long it will take ? i did wait for 5 mints or more..

You guys should try reformatting the microsd card with hp format tool, just google it.
I had the same problems flashing through my sd card until I formatted the drive to fat32. Everytime I flash through my sd card, I make sure to always format the sd card first. Since doing this, I have not had any problems.

Thx for the pointer, I will try it , i am at my office now.

I had formated to fat32 using Windows7 default formatter. I will try with HP tool.

One more doubt. This cell was not unlocked, So i guess i have to flash hardspl.nbh first using SD card..

But i cannot download the SSPL and extract and put the exe in main memory on my phone. because my device itself not booting to OS.

I am a noob so please answer this question,

My battery is completely dead, it wont charge up, So i am trying to flash device with device connected to my PC using usb cable. Device is getting power from usb cable. So will it cause any problem ?

I formatted sd card as fat32 using HP tool, copied RAPHIMG.nbh file to sd card, connected device to pc using usb cable .. it shows "Loading..." in white screen and nothing happens after that, Do i have to take to service center #-o?

dont connect to pc, enter bootloader manually sir, all will be good. Hold the power button and volume down while soft resetting your phone. Continue to hold volume down and power until you see a screen that has 3 colored bars covering the top 2/3s of the screen

Thanks for the info.. So is it the reason, why my device showing tri color boot-screen without pressing any keys(vol down+power) when i connect device to pc using mini usb cable ?

Ryt now my battery is dead and it wont charge.. Thats why i tried connecting to PC using usb cable and tried flashing the device(with dead battery inserted in it).

I will buy new battery and follow the procedure .. hope evrything wil be good :o

your phone should still charge while off. if you are not unlocked then flash your stock shipped rom then start the unlock process in my thread mentioned above.

No, the battery is not charging .. I think i have to replace battery . As i mentioned earlier if i connect usb cable to device , the display will come up without pressing any reset keys or even power button and it shows tri color boot screen. which reads

And i guess it is not unlocked. My brother was using this cell, when he gave it to me it was not working.

So you mean to say I should flash the stock rom from SD card first and then unkock my device using hardspl ?. Since it is a Sprint cdma i have to use

StockSprintHermanOSBigstorageRUU_dumped.rar , Im a right ?

I had also tried flashing this image using sd card. It will simply show " Loading.." message forever.. As "darren.wlsn1" told i should not try this with device connected to pc ,instead i should do this manually. So i am going buy new battery first and then try all this.

Just download the Sprint TP ROM from htc.com. Connect while in tri-color bootloader. When it says 'usb' at the bottom, then just run the .exe you download from htc and follow the prompts. If it doesn't work, there is a hardware problem with your phone. The link below takes you to the ROM download page for Sprint Touch Pro. Download the "SPRINT TOUCH PRO MR | 09.25.2009".

If you still feel like doing it the harder way using your sd card, you can use winrar/7zip and extract the .exe you download. You will find the RUU_singed.nbh, which you can then rename and flash using the storage card method (though I don't see the point unless your USB port is broken...).

Also darren.wlsn1, you should move this to the proper forum as there is no ROM being released here.

My HTC TP started working without flashing any ROM :) but still there is some problem..

1. Turn off phone
2. Lift battery out and push back in
3. Press the stylus soft-reset button hole
4. Wait 60 seconds
5. Power on , it will boot to windows 6.1 :)

But if i power off the device and again power on it will again go to RGB bootloader , and i have to follow the above 1-5 steps again.

I dont know what is happening with device.. I think i can flash the hardspl ROM and unlock device now and then flash custom ROMS.. Ryt now I am at office .. ill test it once i go to home :)

Glad your phone turns on happy20b, but it does sound like something is messed up and flashing a different ROM probably won't fix the issue.

OP unless things have changed since the last time i flashed my TP your phone isnt unlocked so you wouldnt be able to load a rom in the first place. the SPL should read SPL-.35CMONEX you have 0000's so that means you need to unlock the phone then flash the rom. try that and report back.

The cell is from SPRINT USA (my brother had bought). And later service has been canceled for some reasons. And he bought Samsung Captivate AT&T

Now the HTC TP is with me and i am in different country :)
So the cell wont work here, but i want to use the device other than for calling and texting. And also i want to run android on it ;), My Bootloader reads

Few Questions for you

2] I know there are many Customized ROM available here in this forum, since i am new to this thread, i actually do not know which one is stable and best ROM (latest) for my device. So can you please suggest me a best latest customized ROM for my device. (if possible plz provide the link to ROM) ?

3] If i unlock my device is it possible to use the cdma services available in our country ?

I am also planing to boot Android OS(from sd card , may be later try to add dual boot application) ,and i am referring http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-touch-...rizon-gps.html.

1)Yes it is still locked
use the tool in the link you posted.

2)The latest rom that is still currently updated is going to be NRG roms. I am using them and they are very stable. They were also updated last night, give them a shot.

By the way i was able to run xandroid 2.2 along with dual boot :)

I like android than stock windows 6.1 still there are bugs in android port but im sure xandroid team will come up with stable release .. thumps up to xandrdroid team :notworthy:
