last i heard it was a TP2 at least thats what i got 2-3 months ago

It all depends what stock they have, if they have tp in stock then thats what you will get.

+1. They're ONLY going to give you a different phone if they don't have yours in stock. You'll always get your phone if they have it in stock, except in extreme circumstances (for example, Assurion replaced my Mogul with a DOA unit, so I got the TP for free from their screw-up...)

Nice! In that case, they'll just give you a pick of phones to chose from that are considered 'comparable'. They gave me a Treo 700wx a while back, not sure what they would consider 'comparable' nowadays...

let me clarify: that's sprint's stock for defective phones. I'm not sure if asurion uses the same stock or if they have a separate warehouse

Sprint is completely independent of Asurion... in fact, Sprint is required to use a third party for these types of replacements I believe...
