My sprint TP can not forcing roam!
 

I am currently using Sprint Touch Pro with a SERO plan, but my apartment has bad signals, the tethering speed is awful, I was informed TP can be forced to roam on Verizon or some other fast local carrier, so I searched this forum and DIY myself according to

I changed the registry, and now I can found

Sprint Only
Automatic
Automatic-B

on my cell phone, and once I selected Automatic-B, the signal will turn off, showing sign of searching, but no picking up anything, I don't know what is the problem, can somebody help me out, thanks.

Try the attached.. Includes "Sprint Only" "Roaming" and "Automatic".

Also, remember, when you're roaming, you probably won't get anything better than 1X speeds...

mcw's is working, I get roaming signal now, it is pretty strong, very good. However, as pointed out, I can not set up data connection, 777 errors, does this mean I can not surf web, doing tethering as I like, can only make or receive calls.
Again, thx for the quick fix of my problem.

did you check the box in the Phone: Roaming menu to allow roaming data?

FYI calls & SMS will not interrupt or pause a data connection while in 1x roam. occasionally if the connection is idle I've had them come though, but it can not be relied on.

carefull you have a 300MB limit of data roaming for Sprint Employee Referral Option plans

I am on a grandfather SERO plan, unlimited data, I don't know the limitation on roam on this plan, anybody can confirm? really only 300mb? this is BS.

I'm pretty sure all plans have that in the fine print. even for voice they usually kick you out of your contract if you regularly use more than half your minutes roaming.
