TouchFlo 3D upgrade?

Hi, i was just wondering...i have the original TouchPro, and I see that there is the xbmod upgrade for the TouchFlo 3D, but what is the benefit of upgrading anyway? is it really that different? i'm kind of a noob at this stuff...any input will be appreciated
