The Great ROM Debate: A New Look

So I have spent quite a bit of time reading the forums and have learned about ROMs over the past 2 years or so. I have tried many great ROMs over this time, all on 2 HTC Touch Pros.

I know the question "What is the best ROM?" is a redundant question with no direct answer, as everybody has different preferences, opinions, etc. So I decided to revisit the question, but instead of asking what the best ROM is, I am asking you what ROM you would recommend.

I have tried ROMs such as:
-MightyROM 6
-Juicy ROM 8
-NFSFAN
-Swinn (Sprint)

So what are some ROMs that I might have overlooked? So far my favorite is probably NFSFAN's. I like the finger-friendly OS and the useful apps. But the award for most "loaded" goes to MightyROM.

So let's hear some opinions, what should I try next?

+100000 on Energy, very fast, reliable and is updated quite often. :) take a look at it, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=656322 though the battery life is not that great but with a couple tweaks it increases by far.

beauibaker, could you PLEASE directly point out the power tweeks you refer to, or post up the links? I love the rom so far as well, but did not know there was a way to further the bat life;). Would be much appreciated.

As for you CoffeeLover:
I just loaded this GREAT ROM:), and as I have tried quite a few other cooked roms over the years, I am starting to REALLY appreciate the thought put into this one, as well as the awesome stability so far:D! So far the cook has got everything covered that my weird requirments have thrown at it, and trust me that IS saying a LOT for any rom out there! lol.

Thanks
Gem

Honestly other than the ones you already mentioned, I don't think there really are any better roms out there. The "eye candy" roms out right now seem to be too bloated for my taste, and everyone has their own taste. If I had to choose a rom with "eye candy" right now, it would have to be NFSFAN... but only if I felt I had to have Sense 2.5.

Another rom you might take a look at are the roms Silence has put out. Before most of the really good chefs left for the TP2, he was putting some really nice ones out. His last versions are listed here... http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=84859

If I am choosing, and I have metropcs on my Sprint Touch Pro. I like Tank Rom and Affliction. Tank Rom was great but I couldn't seem to update software without getting error messages stopping me from updating. Try those 2 out though.

I also liked Swinn a lot a lot a lot for the basic rom. I just love the extra graphics that Swinn doesn't do.
