TP usb to PC issues Need help really bad
 

My touch pro wont go into usb mode, Ive tried checking the box, and unchecking the box in activesync, I've tried switching to disk drive, and I'm getting nothing, no usb found message, no ding dong noise, from the PC.. Nothing.
Now here's the clincher. When I put the phone in bootloader mode, its reconized by the PC (BUT ONLY IN BOOTLOADER MODE.)](*,) I don't get it, cant someone help me with this one?

One more thing.... I've also tried it on different computers, and Xp, and Windows7, and even a MAC.... Nothing......

Thats frustrating. I have the opposite problem...I get activesync to work, but it wont go into USB mode in the bootloader :( It will on my XP box at work, but not on my Win7 64 bit at home. ggrrr

Have you tried a different usb cable, because mine would charge my phone but not connect to the pc so I tried another cable and it worked.

OP, I would try a new ROM. If you can get into Bootloader, you should be able to flash away.

You might also uninstall/reinstall WMDC/ActiveSync.

Did any of you maybe by accident click the little box that says "don't ask again" when you sync? I've done that a couple of times and can never figure out how to reset it. I just do a hard reset and all goes back to normal. I know, it's a pain. But if you have sashimi at least reinstalling all the cabs is not that big of a deal.

On older roms you have to go into the windows folder and look for USBTOPC.exe or something like that to uncheck the "dont ask again" box..

On newer roms you can get to it from settings,connections, and usb2pc.

every once in a while the usb on my pc gets confused and I always fix by uninstalling the usb root hub(s), which forces it to re-install all the attached usb devices.
