well, first thing, USE THE SEARCH. have you read the stickies about flashing? have you unlocked the phone? go through the stickies about flashing and READ and READ and READ again. then read it one more time and flash your phone.

I personally like Visual Kitchen better than the BuildOS (PPC Kitchen).

If you don't like the custom rom you build, all you have to do is reflash the stock rom to your phone(or a different custom rom).

Also, I'd recommend checking out the Chefs' Corner at MobileUnderground.info, It has TONS of useful information for new rom chefs.

Re: New to PPC Kitchen

I started on PPCKitchen with my Apache. I think for beginners, it is the best kitchen. I believe the latest build I have is 23518 so... outdated?!?!? maybe a little but not much. The only thing missing is Sense 2.X

I like PPCKitchen, I personally use EnergyROMs right now but I have to say that I still have the kitchen and I still cook on it. If at worst, you will notice that the TP will give you a white screen when it boots once it is unlocked, well, PPCKitchen allows you to choose the BOOT1 screen to whatever youd like so... if at least, change that ugly white screen to whatever you want and flash the rom, then flash to what you want and it will keep that boot1 screen (but not stock bc it will go back to the white screen). Hope that helps. I have flashed many many roms and now, I still have PPCK. for when I want to try new things. IT WILL HELP YOU LEARN ABOUT ROMS!!! I GUARANTEE IT. It will also compile your rom and if you have chosen things that are not necessary or corrupt your ROM, it will tell you. You can test making the rom before actually compiling and flashing.

IF IT WASNT FOR ALL THESE COOKS OUT HERE, I WOULD STILL CONTINUE WITH PPCKITCHEN AND MAKE MY OWN!!!

PS. my boot1 IS my little shroom that I use for my profile.. jejeje

things must have changed. last time i checked it was outdated and there was no word when it would be updated. guess someone finally got around to it. i used it a LOT with my 6800 but for the TP there are better options out there. and with me having the VZN TP more options means better performance.
