I think my TP is done for
 

The screen has been acting funny (flashy, like half the screen goes wacky randomly), so I figured a hard reset might fix it. No dice - it won't go past the "tap the screen to align it" part.

Any ideas? Any way to get it back working atleast temporarily?

Side bar, what is up with assurion? I have TE and they still want to charge me $100 to replace the phone??

From the sounds of it I had the same problem as you. Hopefully you are all backed up on your data. If not, I was lucky enough to just keep tapping on the align screen until it just worked. I mean tap a lot. May work for you. You have the insurance and you are on Sprint so if you take it into their repair center, they will fix or replace it for you for free. When it happened to me they took one look at it and ordered me a new one. Hope this helps.

good to hear I'm not alone...

I do have it backed up, but I would rather not go without a phone for the day (horrible, right? haha).

I've been tapping all over too, maybe I'll get it to work.

Have you tried reflashing from the SD card. I've had several "bad flashes" where it was a matter of taking my SD card out, reloading the ROM .nbh file on the root dir, then replacing and reflashing. That has saved me before. Just a thought. Good luck.

+1 for reflash via SD card. This happened to me and I flashed from the card and all was well.

TEP for Sprint? They should only charge you that if you don't return the old phone...

Use MyMobiler to remote control device.

Worst case, Reflash from PPC Kitchen with the OEMizer set to skip the align screen. Then use MyMobiler to quickly configure. If the digitizer is bad, you should be able to control it when on the go via the keyboard.

$100. That's an outrageous deductible. I think ours is only $50. You should recheck to see if you can get that changed.

actually i think sprint now charges 100$... its a change they made some months ago, some phones "cheaper" are still 50, meanwhile most smartphones are now 100$, it sucks but oh well.
