Closing programs in 6.5
 

Is there any fix for getting programs to close when the x is pressed? Running 6.5 with the large taskbar on the bottom. Any rom I have run with the X at the bottom right of the screen has had this problem. I end up having to use task manager to close all my open programs, or face certain battery death before the day ends. This is becoming cumbersome...

Showcase or Arkswitch is what most people are using.

There should be a taskmanager settings option in Start>Settings>System>TaskManager.

I have this same issue. but like Nsfans latest rom which is GREAT, there is no task manager icon in settings to adjust that setting like in most roms.

there's no taskmanager integration into the home screen on the new 6.5.x roms. Nor is there a setting for closing on X. See my answer above.

I have a task manager cab from HTC which gives me the task manager drop down at the top right of the screen, and it also has this setting that your speaking of. Unfortunately, the setting has no effect when the x button is at the bottom of the screen.
