.37 error 202. Why wont my sprint tp unlock??
 

So I am trying to unlock my tp. I am getting the error 202. It is connected. active sync works. I have been reading a few things here and on other forums. what is sspl? i read that you have to be running sspl to get a spl to run? what the help is an spl? I am so confused. Its not like I haven't done this before. I updated my old phone to win 6.1 before I got the tp. I know how to follow directions. I am not computer illiterate. so a little info
rom is the 1.03.15f
the unlocker recognizes the rom version IE communicates with the pda then gives the 202 error saying it cannot comunicate with the phone.
I want to update the phone to win 6.5. also the version I want is the mightyrom but their site says they are in the changing room. any ideas as to whats up with that? also I never saw this question answered. if you unlock your phone and update the os, do you have to relock the phone?

Ok so I also went to htc support and downloaded the update from sept of last year. so I know that the usb connection is good. this is frustrating. any help is deeply appreciated. At leas its not a brick!

try doing the manual unlock on the phone. That tends to work with mine.

make sure the check is off in activesync for whatever it is.

i am seeing more and more issues with unlocking. unlocked a friends tp1 and ran into the 202 error. what i ended up doing was reformatting my sdcard and flashing from there. i had to reformat the card for it to read. have you tried via the sdcard yet? and if so were you told that the img file was not found? a format will fix this.

lastly, no once you unlock it and flash a custom rom, you will not need to relock. you only need to relock when you have to send the phone to sprint. then you will want to reflash a stock rom and lock it.

hey man!

i had the same issue when unlocking mine. here it is: do you get warning messages saying "are you sure you want to install this app blah blah blah" when opening new .CAB files? you do? this is it!

next time you get your tp connected just press "update" button on your pc/laptop and keep an eye on your device. when it gives out the message press "yes". bingo! you got it started. the percentage scale reaches 0 - you're done. make sure the bootloader shows cmonex before flashing. mightyrom6 is an awesome choice!

p.s. no need to relock unless you have warranty problems. unlock just once. here we go:)

I havent tried with the sd card and I really dont want to. what is this manual unlock you speak of?

sd card is easist way if you have one installed in phone. if you have a spare it would make things easy to. on your device you can visit the thread in tp upgrade and download the unlocker and the hspl. save them to a spare sd card and use stock winzip to unpack them to sd card (so you can save them for later use i.e replacement) then COPY & PAST the hpsl to your device, then click it. your phone will ublock it's self. the raphimg file in package MUST be placed in root of sd card. troll the upgrade forum, you can find a download for mighty there somewhere. you can flash that rom from ruu thru pc (it wont activesync, don't be alarmed) or you can winrar/winzip extract the mighty ruu and rename the nbh file to RAPHIMG

1 ) put unlocker on root of sd card
2 ) put hspl on device
3 ) click on hspl (in file explorer) where ever you put on device (can be anywhere just not sd card)
4 ) grey screen with blue letters, press power button
5 ) pull sd card, MUST after reaching 100% and says complete
6 ) "A" softreset, get bootloader, plug into pc, run ruu from mighty... or
6 ) "B" put mighty nbh on sd card (overwrite existing nbh file) put back in device, soft reset, repete step 4, when finished, softreset.
