Cricket TP WAP not connecting, Unknown Error
 

Alright, Ill go ahead and spew details first, describe the problem after.

Sprint Original Carrier Touch Pro
Drunk's 4.50 Rom (Tried Mighty Rom as well)
Installed Ryan Mogul's Cab for Settings, changed what needed to be
Using the latest Verizon Radio (Have Tried 6 other radios as well)
Known good Non roaming and Roaming PRLs tried
Under Debug, My signals levels while testing stayed in the -50 to -80 range
Have called Cricket and had data refreshed.


I called a local shop that flashes phones and explained the situation. The guy at the store said that Sprint phones are the hardest to 'Full flash', and that they dont even offer a full flash for Sprint phones. I explained that My TP was full flashed, but he said all he could do was to refresh the features, which he did, and Im still getting nothing.

The phone starts to connect, I can watch it dial under comm manager. I see:
Connecting to: Cricket Mobile Web
using: Cellular Line
Dialing #777... ... ... ... ...

and then a popup that says Network Error, cannot connect for an unknown reason. As stated before, I have verified that all of my settings are correct, and when I have time later, would even be glad to walk thru Ryan Moguls Wap guide in a post, checking off what I'd done. I know the settings are correct, but Still cant get wap or MMS to work. Any Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

**apology in advance if this has been beaten to death, but search revealed only to have cK refresh the feature, which I have.

Ill also explain that Im still relatively new to phone flashing, but pretty used to Networking in general.

I can think of about 50 causes for this. The most recent with WM devices is a program called clean RAM, for some reason it interferes. I had the exact same issue last week with my Touch, but not only with wap but with calls too. Then I saw a post on here of someone who had the exact same issue and narrowed it down.

Other known causes
PST setting
QPST setting
username or password incorrect
account setting
PRL
MSL not being 000000
connection setting entered incorrectly.

Thank you for the reply, but Again, Ive already checked all of the above.

I just now reset to Sprint Default Rom, and Im flashing mighty Rom as we Speak.

I have the PST settings set correctly
Ive checked the Auth. User IDs and passwords, both correct
MSL is correct 000000
All the PST settings are correct
QPST I changed only what was Advised, Namely the Carrier Name.
The account is good, Ive had 2 reps refresh Data services on My account.
Ive tried using only a 1x prel, and Ive also Tried the Ev Roaming prl. no dice.

I guess Ill finish the MR flash and redo all of my settings and try again.

Further Advice is much appreciated.

Argggggg. Still Nada. I have no idea. Any Cricket Employees wanna check and see what they can do for my account? I have the plan which is supposed to have 'Free Email', which I assume is the HTML plan... Am I wrong?

Alright... Flashed, MMS WAP cabs run, settings in registry checked, PST settings correct, QPST settings correct, Authenticated in PST, Good PRL from OTAP.

Yet again, makes, receives calls, texts. Anytime I try to use a Data Connection, I get 'Unknown reason after the Phone dials #777.

Im on the verge of pulling my hair out dealing with his frikkin frakkin... Its probably something super small and insignifigant that Im missing, but I dont see how. Ive checked, and checked, and rechecked the settings. They are all to Spec.

Please Help. 43 Views and no responses. Say Something! Lol

The MIP needs to be set to Simple IP only. For future reference, The Unknown Reason Error code comes from the Mobile IP setting.

Yes, but to my credit, all of the Pst setting walkthbroughs i had seen say mobile ip, not simple ip only.


Ive got MMS, Wap, QuickGPS, and google sync'd outllok going. now all i need is for my weather to update for me. any assistance there?
