using phone as hotspot issue
 

I installed this app to turn my phone into a hotspot on my Sprint HTC Touch Pro, setup the name of it, and it did not come up in my laptop's network list. Why is this? Am I doing something wrong?

did you see this "It Needs Mortscript Support in rom or installed by:" in the XDA link? also have you turned it on?

Also, all of the "hotspot" apps share the connection as an "ad-hoc" connection. Make sure your PC is set to show all WiFi connections, including ad-hoc (not just access points).

thanks. i installed it, did the "ad-hoc" network, and it didn't find my device. what could be wrong?

IDK. i will download it later today and see how it works. you may want to delete both mort and the hotspot and install mort first then the hotspot. it may fix the problems if not its worth a shot since your stuck.

i installed it and it runs but i cant get a data connection because of where i work. no cell signal. i will give it a try tonight when i get home.

i cant get it to work. im not sure what the issue is but neither of my PC's detect it.
