Screen Turns on when switching towers
 

I'm looking for an answer to this problem Basically I use my phone as my mp3 player in the car. It sits on my dashboard. Problem is, when driving at night I turn off the backlight so the screen is totally black. Then every time I switch from roaming to sprint or 1x to EV it kicks the screen back on. Annoying!

Is there any way to do a reg edit to make the phone NOT come on when it finds a new tower?

Only one I know of is to put it in flight mode (Kinda inconvenient if you are waiting on a call.... ) or force it to EVDO only mode (instead of hybrid) in the phone settings.
Its a well known glitch of many HTC phones.

u can use either one of these to adjust when the screen wakes up.
