Is there any way to transfer an Alltel Touch Pro to Sprint?
 

Ive recently switched my entire family from Alltel to Sprint and I upgraded to a Touch Pro 2. However my brother really likes my Touch Pro and would be an upgrade for him from his Mogul. So my question is this, is it possible to flash my Alltel Touch Pro with a stock Sprint OS and Radio rom and and reprogram the phone to my brother's phone number and have it work? I'm sure if it's possible the final steps will be far more complicated so any help on this would be appreciated!

Best of luck! If it wasn't Sprint you might have a chance. Flashing the phone to Sprint is the easiest part it's getting Sprint to accept the foreign ESN that is next to impossible.

last i heard sprint will NOT accept any ESN's that arent from there network. you could call and ask but i doubt you will like the answer.

Sprint, VZW, Alltel and others will not allow you to bring a non-carrier device.

VZN will allow other ESN's its just a lot of hassle to get it done. not sure about alltel though.

Currently Sprint is the only network that will absolutely not accept foreign ESN's. All others will some are just easier than others.
