Problem Updating Rom On HTC TOUCH PRO us cellular ACTIVESYNC
 

Hello guys im sort of new at this and im not sure if this is the right place for this thread.

Anyways I recently update my my htc touch pro rom to the
1.08.573.2 rom


and still my phone runs slow as mollases.

So i decided to update to the MIGHTY ROM.

So this is where i hit a road block. My active sync wont connect. Well it does but it doesnt fully connect it. I can browse folders on my mobile device. But it keeps saying looking for changes then an error message pops up. Windows media wont even sync.

I tried to get HARD SPL intalled but it doesnt want to install because of active sync.

I tried deleting partnership and locating and deleting backup.stg file no luck. I tried soft restting. Hard reseting no luck still. Ive deleted and installed active sync. changed the name off my mobile phone.

Im pulling my hair here can someone help me i think its trying to to put my old contacts because i did a backup but i dont know. please help

Can i do this without active sync??????????

also deleted the partner ship on the device. and unchecked ADVANCED NETWORK FUNCTIONALITY

you dont need activsync to flash a rom. as long as you have unlocked the phone all you need to do is make sure the phone is charged before you start. put the phone in bootloader and flash your rom and your GTG.

of course, you can also flash a premade rom by using the SD card. if all else fails.

but my phone isnt unlocked the hard spl rom wont install on my phone

Ok so let me get this straight!!!!! u try to flash your phone to a MightyRom.
But b4 you did that was your phone unlocked?
Meaning you unlocked it using Hard Spl?

If you didn't do that and you just straight try to flash mighty rom
i believe your phone is bricked!!!!

its NOT bricked. read the instructions at the top of this forum and follow the instructions about unlocking via SD card and flashing via SD card.

Make sure you have the option on the phone under activesync to not enable faster data sync - under connections - usb to PC (checks for partnerships between pc and phone). Also if your phone has mightyrom already on it its likly its already been unlocked and thats why its failing. verify in the tri-colour screen cmonex.
