TP + WM7 / Any Chance??
 

What are the odds that we will see a build of WM7 (once it is out) ported over to the Touch Pro? I am getting increasingly worried considering pretty much all the devs have bailed out and went over to the TP2.

Anyone care to speculate?

i'm sure that once it's released, our chefs will be hard at work. if someone can port android to a vogue, i'm sure 7 will come to the tp.

Will it be ported? Folks will try, and likely will get some degree of success...

Will it be usable/practical to use on TP? I'm guessing not... Not enough screen, RAM, or processor speed for more than a proof of concept IMHO...

and doesn't wm7 require a multitouch screen? or has this not been confirmed yet? i think that would cause an issue for us.

and not all the devs have jumped ship. i believe the andriod ports that are coming along quickly on the tp1 and not coming along so great for the tp2 yet. - they are still working on getting data to work.

I always thought that the TP's lack of a Windows hard key was an issue...

This may have changed though.

I was thinking of it being unlikely more because the devs are putting all their efforts now on the TP2 and aren't really throwing much love at all to the TP. Even if it is possible, do you really think they will spend any time on it?

Someone will try but I would guess half the features you would want from WM7 will be broken on a TP...

Besides by the time MS releases WM7 we will all likely have better phones by then anyway!

likely not to with the possibility of winmo/7 slash the idea of the zune phone

Speak for yourself, I don't have money to throw away and will use my TP until it dies from exhaustion! :)
