TTS in Opera/IE - Screen reader - Text-to-speech

So, I've developed this bad habit of browsing the web while I'm driving. I know - I should be shot. In an effort to cure my insanity, is anyone aware of a simple piece of software that will read text aloud for me?

I saw SmartySoft's SmartRead which appears to be nothing more than an outdated SDK - won't even install.

I downloaded the trial of MobileSpeak which apparently takes over the entire phone. Once S2U2 activated, I had to remove the program via ActiveSync to operate my phone again - that was fun. This might work if someone knows how to configure it to BACK OFF and just read the screen to me when I ask it to.

Anyone have any other ideas? I'm suprised I can't find more products - seems like a simple enough thing to develop using existing voices - if only I knew anything about programming!

Thanks!

I'm glad you live in Atlanta. I won't have to dodge you in traffic while you are surfing the web!

Haha, but I do travel through Florida occasionally :-) Perhaps I should use Latitude so all my PPCG friends can stay clear!
