Re: Can I bypass the align screen?
going to write as i go. post done from tp and testing on laptop with other tp (broke screen) plugged in.
so i put the program jethro linked to from xda on pc, put .dat file where it showed. i am having pc issues and an other here is helping so please bear with me. after plugging in spare device from hard reset to force screen align and launching program (had to press start and launch last program installed) i got a screen that gives options skip screen alignment if you have turned on the device for the first time or if you have just hard formatted it, press the Skip butto, to 'skip your pocket pc" wizard and go directly to today screen. then gives skip button retrieve screen alignment information Retrieve the screen alignment information of your device and store it on the PC to avoid realigning the screen each time you hard format the divice. then gives retrieve button run screen alignment this will run the normal screen alignment wizard and finally store the information on your pc. then gives aligment button followed by ok button. pressing skip. gave error, please reinstall remote screen alignment moving on. ending program and opening again i pressed retrieve. pop up showes "screen alignment has been successfully stored. and my moblier changed screens from "touch screen to begin using device" to "screen alignment. soft restet test device and after pressing "ok button" on screen alignment program i have started it again. this time when "mymobiler" showes tap screen to begin, i pressed "skip" on screen alignment program and now device is making sound after doing screen alignment and customizing. perfect. thank you jethro for the link. final result is..... follow instructions from link jethro posted, using my mobiler (for those with blank screens) do a hard reset. press OK, valume down, and power and wait for lights to come on, then press valume up to hard reset. you know that "device is preparing for first time use" takes a while so make sure device is on charger to ensure screen doesn't shut off and postpone progress untill you turn it on again. if you don't have my mobiler (link above) and you waited a while (5 mins should cover) just tap screen. then open the program (start/all programs/code factory) and press "skip" your device will go into customizing and restart on its own. thanks jethro, i really needed this, and i hope this info helps others out as well. |

Re: Can I bypass the align screen?
For others with this issue, copy over a blank text file renamed to welcome.no to the root of the internal memory to bypass align screen.

Re: Can I bypass the align screen?
I dropped in a welcome.no and a welcome.exe file on a micro SD card and it worked like a charm.:occasion5:
