hey everyone back in '08 i started a thread about using your insurance to switch from your mogul to a TP for free. well once again i have a legitamate claim(the accelerometer thinks the phone is upside down so you cant browse the web and read upside down lol) so im here at my own sprint store and i filed to have it replaced. low and be hold!!!!!


i can have it replaced with a different device for free. the HERO the PRE the TP2 or even any variation of the 8330. This is for only a limited time and as phones are available. just wanted to give you a heads up as i am getting my TP2 on monday free of charge.

so if you have a legitamate claim go get yourself a new phone yo... and hit the thanks button if i helped ;)

i just got back from the sprint store in junction city, kansas and they only offered me the blackberry curve or the treo pro...

thats odd im in the eticket system right now and its showing like 5 differend BB and the hero the pre and the TP i just did one for me and one for a customer. maybe its based off location. because the knightdale, NC store is the one that told me about it and im in Wendell, NC and i know Rolesville, NC it works too. so idk then either way your getting a new phone :)

If you have a SERO account the only options are WinMo phones. All others require a simply everything plan.

wow, how long do i shake my phone to break it (jk). it has varry random issues and well....... well it is a tp. i don't think sprint store would be able to replicate my issues in store and see what is going on, and every tp has the 2 hour limit on the battery issue, i'm not special there. only once did i have the failed keyboard issue, but a soft reset fixed it. i might wait for asurion insurance claim and pay th 100 smackers for a claim online and get the tp2, but we might have the lg or d3 running 7 by then.

Today i went to the store unaware of this because my keyboard was failing the guy just said that he ordered "another one" idk what he meant by that but he gave me an eticket receipt it doesnt say what phone im going to get does that mean im going to get another crappy TP? or theres a chance that i get a TP2?

well i could have ordered another TP for the guy but i figured he'd like something else. but he chose the Tp over the other options

Hey guys im having some issue with my TP and i would like to know if i can go to the corporate sprint store and ask for replacement even if i dont have a insurance on this phone?

i heard some people were able to make such change w/o the protection cover but i dont know if this could be done.

Any Ideas?

i just had mine replaced last night and only offered bb curve, pre, snap one more cant remember and the tp2. Wasnt offered the hero like others are saying cause it would of been a toss up between it and the tp2. Oh well they getting close with the android porting to the tp2 so once that happens i will be better off.

I'm in Florida, but I called sprint and am getting a tp2 bcs my tp was broken. Thanks for the heads up that sprint put tp2 back on the list for replacements for broken touch pros.

On the semi-same note, does anyone know if you can take a touch pro with problems to a sprint store if you bought it online? Got it new from amazon, and have the $7/month insurance.

yes you can. i got mine on ebay and have insurance. it's been replaced twice (once in the sprint store, once through customer service) with no problems or issues.

Well, even a blind dog finds a bone now and then.

But I wouldnt even try.

Also, this isnt really news. This is a true YMMV scenario that has been going since the TP2 was released. Some have had luck, others havent. For example, I just tried to file a claim on Asurion and was offered a TP1.

asurion are nothing but a bunch of desgraciados over this exchange policy. $100 for a replacement back when i had problems with my dell axim dell replaced it for FREE!!! and i've tried this before with my battery issues and they only wanted to exchange it for another TP (for $100 of course) and they DIDNT even offer to replace the battery. desgraciados!
