Pandora settings still from last phone owner

I installed Pandora on my Touch Pro using a guide I found on these forums. It works fine, but I can't figure out how to login to my Pandora account. I got the phone from a friend, did a hard reset, installed MightyRom, and it still logs into his Pandora account when I run Pandora. There doesn't seem to be a logout option anywhere in the program that I can see.

I am really confused, I was under the impression that doing a hard reset would clear any leftover settings of his out of the phone. At least installing a whole new firmware should do that, I would think.

Also, I have my own memory card from my previous phone HTC Touch Vogue, but I formatted it before putting it in this phone so that isn't the source of the problem.

Any ideas? Anyone know how to log out and login to a different account on Pandora Mobile?

You need to wipe the memory. Hard reset doesn't delete much.

Did you install it to the storage card where perhaps he had it installed? Doing a hard reset does nothing for the storage card.

HTC seems to imply they are the same thing.

Q.
How do I perform a hard reset?
You can either use Clear Storage or device buttons to perform a hard reset. Tip: Use device buttons to perform a hard reset only when you cannot access Clear Storage. Using Clear Storage 1. On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap All Settings.
2. On the System tab, tap Clear Storage.
3. Enter “1234” and then tap Yes. Using device buttons 1. Pull out the stylus.
2. With the device turned on, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons, then press the RESET button with the stylus.
3. Release the RESET button, but continue pressing the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons until you see warring message on the screen
4. Release the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons, then press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset. Press any other button to cancel the hard reset.

Re: Pandora settings still from last phone owner

I think amd4me is talking about wiping the EPST info (or whatever its called), that holds all the activation information. When your friend gave it to you, did you activate your own number on it or are you still using his old phone number?

It seems that Pandora associates your phone number or something else out of the EPST to your account because I've never had to re-enter my login information after a hard reset. The only time I've had to re-enter log in information was when changing phones.

I haven't tried it, but if you go to Menu>About there is the option to Sign Off. You may be able to enter your account information after you sign off their account. Hope this helps! Let us know if this works.

Re: Pandora settings still from last phone owner

a hard reset and clear storage are the same thing. they both restore the phone to the condition it was in when shipped. or in the case of flashed phone, the way it was just after the flash, before you installed everything.
