Yikes. I think we call this phenomenon 'perceptual blindness'. :-)

Yea dude, no one is blaming you. komgol obviously was using the wrong startup.txt, that's what I'm wondering what is up with that...

Got my touch pro running running XDAndroid. Every thing seems to be working great except I have no Internet access. Is there any way to get the Internet working? This on a US Cellular phone. Thanks for any help

I think that provider uses a freakin proxy to get out to the internet... so you have to put the provider proxy settings in Android. I'm sure there's someone who has done it before you, please search...

The default APN works fine for me on USCC. Make sure you have all the latest files and it should be ok. If needed, reformat the card and try again.

I have android working great, but I internet doesn't work by default. I read the sticky and it mentioned making an APN. I then searched and found some entries for APN data for telus, although I'm not sure if thats for their new HSPA network or for the CDMA network I'm using.

The problem is that it doesn't want to remember anything I enter in the APN. I put in all the data, hit the menu button and click save, and it goes back to the list of APNs and its all still empty.

Anyone get this working on a CDMA telus touch pro?

its because the mcc number thing has to be set at the default number or it deletes. and the internet doesnt work most likely because there is a proxy on your internet.

ok got internet and mms working by playing with how much info I entered into the APN settings, now some questions about peculiarities of android. Now my main concern is battery life. It seems to just destroy it. Is that normal?

Normal for me haha, Android kills my battery with passion.

Unfortunately, yes, it's normal. Destroy is a pretty apt description.

good to know I'm not alone, at least. I have to say this is quite nice - its definitely better than stock winmo, but I'm not sure if as a UI it beats sense, which I like quite a bit. I do like how easy it is to customize the homescreen with widgets and move them around.

will play with this more, and I'll have to order an extended battery or something.
