Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800) - PRE-ALPHA (not yet usable)

I don't know if I'm going to test this out because I'd rather stick with makkonen as his work seems to be pretty linear and consistent, but there is a new kernel pack/configuration/etc. out that was posted over at connectUTB. I still can't post links, but if you go over to connectUTB, I'm sure you'll find it. Anybody tried it out or have anything to report? I might if I can find some time to play at work today, but not likely.

I was in the verizon store looking at phones for one of my teenagers. Played with the droid. Expected it to fly compared to my TP with android. You know it did not feel any faster.

Great work mek

I'm running the UTB version right now. Seems to work just fine data and all. Haven't tried placing a call yet though for speaker test...suppose I could.

When it boots it says GSM...should it do that?

Im a noob at this. Is there a more detailed walk through of the installation available anywhere? with screenshots maybe?

Yeah it should. If you read the XDA Thread it can't tell the difference that is why there is a force_cdma=1 option in the startup.txt. Anyone know what happened to makkonen? He hasn't posted in a while it seems?

Just installed the new stripped update from XDA and now I am unable to install any apps from the market. Anyone have any ideas??

Like over 10 minutes long time?

I had this problem until I tried makkonens 1-17-10 build. I tried that and it worked fine for me. just remember to follow all instructions in the first post of this thread!

I am running XDAndroid on my HTC Touch Pro, and none of the apps, such as file explorer, are loading.

Hmm. That seems a little long. Not sure, all I know is that whenever I think I'm about to give up I'll walk away and come back and there will be a kind, green robot staring me in the face.
