Replaced keyboard - now USB doesn't power or connect
 

I search forum but couldn't find a similar situation so now I'm more scared than I previously was (this one comes close: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=90267)


Basically, I bought a replacement keyboard off ebay, switched it in my phone...keyboard works so I was happy...but then realized the "soft reset button" on bottom of phone quit working and the phone wont recognize anything plugged into USB port anymore (power, or PC USB doesn't trigger anything).

Is there a tiny connector in there, or a ribbon cable I popped off or something?

Any suggestions?

My bad.. I fixed it :)

It's the thick black cable in the middle..it had come off.

all good now...

My USB hasn't been working since I changed my keyboard as well...so I decided to open it up again and check if anything is not in placed...well everything was and USB still doesn't work. It charges and I can even connected to my TV with RCA cables...but my laptop, PC and my UMPC doesn't recognize it...

Thanks for sharing...it was worth a shot.

maybe its time to make a insurance claim..?
