myphone killed my messaging
 

As i just finished setting up the latest energyrom just the way i wanted, i decided to set up microsoft myphone syncing. I think my mistake was letting it download messages from the server to my phone (i had already restored with pimbackup). Then i looked and my sms inbox showed 99+ new messages in sense, but when i opened the inbox, none were shown in bold. At this point I just decided to 'delete all'. Now my inbox looks empty, but says 847 unread. Messaging is also very slow on exit now.

is there hope for me? or hard reset :( ?

Yes this happened to me once I restored all my texts using myphone. All I did was to open the WM messaging app and then soft reset. All the notifications (on the tab) went away and my phone worked normally. Now its very likely that the messaging database used by the msg app is corrupted... you'll need to wipe your device and then restore your data once more using myphone. Just make sure you open the WM msg app (so it can load the db) and then softreset.

Didn't end up working for me... However I had a little extra time this morning, so I went ahead and did a hard reset... Thanks for your help though!
