Weather updated to wrong city on TP2 Mighty ROM
 

My weather is updating but shows wrong city. I checked GPS settings and everything is good. Google Maps pin points my location in seconds. Anyone having this issue? Any way to fix this? I do have my city added manually, but I travel a lot and would like the weather to update to correct city.

Try soft resetting and updating again

I've been trying this everyday. I just did it like 10 times. I'm trying to do everything I can before I have to hard reset.

My device puts me by default 100 miles away. When I launch Google Maps it shows for a second wrong location and then instantly locates me.

Hmm, interesting... Sorry i dont know what could be the issue... I had that happen to me, but when I clicked update now, it corrected it to my city

I know others had the same problem but I haven't seen the fix yet. Maybe someone will come here and post it...

Are you in 3G mode? Or 1X?

I have this problem but only when I'm in 1X mode, not 3G mode. It also works most of the time when using WiFi as my data connection.

I'm in 3G mode or EVDO to be exact (I'm on Sprint). I have all bars. I just tried WiFi and same thing. It updates to Oakland, CA instead of Elk Grove, CA. ](*,)

i have this same problem when i am home. when you go to a big city then try it. it works for me in a place where i have better service. it doesnt bother me really.

This happens to me. It says I am in Minneapolis even though I am in cities around it. Just start on his latest rom.

I know it's not a big deal but it drives me nuts. In Latitude on Google Maps all my friends are asking what am I doing in Oakland all the time and I have to explain that my ROM is misbehaving. I hope there will be a fix for this.

I think the problem is with Airave I have at home. The question is, how to change the settings on that Airave to show my current location?

Im having the exact same problem. I live in iowa and the weather tab says im in Indiana.

I also have a Airave...and when I'm at home it puts my home weather as Artondale, WA...istead of Federal Way, WA....It's a known issue with the Airave...it's basin the GPS on a backbone server...which for you in in the major city...mine is about 30miles away from me...once I leave my house It changes....theres also a known issue with the timestamp based on the servers the Airave goes through....it sometimes gives a timestamp 1-2hrs behind or ahead of your current time....

Call Sprint and have them send you to there Airave Tech Department and see if they have a fix for it...and if they do post it in here and let us Airave users know.......Also you might want to check this out.....soon to be released...hopefully we can exchange it for this one....
