Always says 1 new text message
 

Has anyone ever encountered the 1 new text message indicator never clearing? I have cleared all texts that were in bold and even deleted all recent messages - still can't get it to clear. Have done a soft reset, yanked the battery, turned off the touch flo and turned it back on. Anyone know what do do next. This is the 2nd time this happened - 1st time did a hard reset but that cant be the only answer.

Only apps installed are the registry editor, siriuswm6, inbox extender and s2u2...

I've noticed that icon shows up not only with text messages... It also shows when you have a missed call. Do you have any? Missed calls that is. If you do... Clearing it out will remove the icon from the top of your screen.

if you're using a stock rom the problem lays within the htmlnote.dll it is faulty on 6.1 builds and up. there are several other threads closely related to this one...i know i posted a fix for this several times previously.

any advice on how to move it over to the windows directory - getting an access denied error on the copy and paste.

are you using the built in File Explorer. If so that is your problem you have to use a third party app. I personally use Resco Explorer (paid app), but you can use Total Commander which is free I believe
