Storage Memory Problems
 

So I have a bit of a memory problem with my touch pro 2. It's stock nothin fancy. This is the 2nd or 3rd time this has happened. I'll go to sleep it'll have plenty of memory I wake up and almost all the storage memory is gone.. The last time I did a hard reset and Only installed cabs to my storage card unless it had to go on the device to work properly. I'm sure it's not the Browser I barely use it and cleaned the cookies cache and history with little to no change. Any ideas?

Yeah i've seen it But the problem isn't with the ram it's with the actual memory. My ram is usually 70% or below. However the Storage memory that only has 238.88 total keeps goin down (the "Free:" area on the left hand side of the Memory page) then i'm not even puttin anything on the phone itself.

Naw I delete my texts on a regular and my e-mails are saved to my memory card. and even then it's only the last 3 days for texts and 30 days for e-mails.

nothing should be eating storage other than cache...can you provide a list of apps you install after a hard reset please?

i need to know what is stored in main memory...im suspecting its the opera 10 as it for some reason for me was constantly live.

Is there any program that scans the memory for large files? or Unneeded files I really don't want to do a hard reset. I don't mind reinstalling my programs it's the settings and the e-mail accounts and waiting on things to re-download and reset.

you have a search feature installed on the device...use that to search for large files...i really think it is a cache thing though...you're gonna have to start from scratch only loading those programs to main memory and test from there...it's very hard to tell on the surface.

Alright I will try that. So you want me to Hard reset and install everything again one at a time to the main memory? won't that eat up the memory anyways?

no what i want you to do is hard reset and only install the apps that get installed to the main memory...leave the apps off that get installed to the card...for now. baby steps

I did a hard reset and it's all workin fine now... but thas what happen last time it's weeks later it'll just randomly fill up and i never know why... maybe I should just get a new phone...

It started to happen again (Idk why it's happenin so fast this go around) And i tried a program called clear temp and it knocked out about 57 mb claiming it was mail attatchments... but my mail is saved to my memory card so i'm still confused... but i guess i got a quick solution for now..
