Re: WindowsMobile has changed the 6.5 upgrade

I'm using MM rom w/ Juggs Sprint stuff and I'm as close to a Sprint upgrade as I'm probably going to get. With the exception of Sprint Music store which I don't have working. I would much rather have their custom rom than wait and maybe not even get an upgrade from sprint. Plus support from those guys are top notch. So I'm not fully dissappointed that Microsoft is delaying it.

I don't think it's Microsoft or HTC delaying it, I sounds like the individual carriers. Because lots of other TP2s already have the official wm6.5 update (including AT&T (Tilt2), USC, non-US Carriers, etc.). But with custom roms I don't think waiting for an official wm6.5 update is going to kill me.

Possibly never. Supposedly theres an email or something going around saying that there isn't enough interest from Verizon customers. Not thats a rumor! I think a false 1 to boot

Hey Verizon, can you hear us NOW? If the reported e-mail is true, then it's more like Verizon techs are just too lazy to get off their duffs and make it happen - which would be fine with me if at least they'd release one or two of the fixes HTC has sent out. It sorta gives me a nervous twitch seeing those patches on the HTC site, wanting them but getting the Heisman from vzw. Okay, the caffeine helps that along, too, but still.

Why strive for excellence when mediocrity is good enough. :protest:

with all the 6.5 UI changes being reported, it's no surprise Verizon would hold up on releasing 6.5 in a better, hassle-free format.

lets be honest most TP2 users could care less about 6.1 vs 6.5 anyways there is little benefits with the imagio 6.5 release.

plus upgrading wipes your entire phone... one "proper/enhanced" 6.5 upgrade (in FEB 2010 for example) is preferred to 3 incrimental ones Nov, Dec, Jan.

True about wiping the phone, as do important fixes, but in the very least I think vzw should release those. I care less about the OS upgrade than I do the patches. I guess it's still cheaper for vzw to send customers refurbed broken phone after refurbed broken phone though, as opposed to extra man-hours churning out those fixes. ](*,) \\:D/

Re: WindowsMobile has changed the 6.5 upgrade

i stopped caring for a offical update as soon as the hspl dropped!! and recertified that "i dont care" feeling once the uscc 6.5 rom dropped just for the reason that it had updated drivers!!
