Which of these softwares would you consider as musts? (need anwer by 11/30)

I ordered my TP2 today and will receive it probably within the next 2-3 days.
But, because Handango is doing a Cyber Monday sale, I would like to upgrade apps that are essential by the end of TODAY!
With my XV6700, I use the following apps that have been updated since my last purchase.
Which of these would you consider essential for TP2?

Spb Mobile Shell
Spb Backup
WisBar (have a feeling this won't be needed)
SK Tools

Agreed. Only OP can decide that.

I will say the TP2 is the first HTC phone that I actually left the HTC Software running (i.e TouchFlow).

MemMaid or SKTools is nice to have though.

Of the four listed, the two chosen by BRIVERS73 would be my personal musts too.

Eh.. with MyPhone and whatnot... I dont think SPBBackup is even needed.

SkTools in great... and for me personally... Resco Explorer is a MUST HAVE. Also on sale.

I agree. I don't use any of those, programs. For backup, I use PIM Backup, and now with custom roms, I use Sashimi. For advanced file exploring, I use Total Commander. All of these are freeware.

I agree, none of those are needed anymore but if want to use one i would recommend sktool. wisbar you definitely don't need, spb backup is not needed with microsoft myphone, and you will probably run htc sense or 6.5.x so spb shell isn't needed either.

Only apps i really need are:

Touchpal
Resco Explorer
Idialer (Google Voice dialer)
Midomi
MS Myphone (retired Dashwire)

This is only my own personal list though, but these apps get installed anytime i flash to a new ROM.

not on your list, but I have to agree with rawdikrik (??!))...

resco file explorer (has a built in registry editor). I hate the stock file explorer, this gives you a more tree-like structure like winxp file explorer.

uhmm, raw...di**... uhmm, never mind.

SKTools or MemMaid. The rest - I have used them and no longer use them. Instead of SPB Backup, I use Sprite Backup. Wisbar - big waste for me. SPB Mobile Smell - I do not use TouchFlo - shame when I bought it I did not pay attention to the description.

SPB Mobile Shell is the first thing I install on every phone/ROM I ever use. It is an absolute must have.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.5(Microsoft Windows; PPC; Opera Mobi/16643; U; en) HTC_Touch_Pro2_T7379)

I would say spb moblie shell is a must for me, also core player is a great ap.

Touchflow is nice, but doesnt put everything i need i touch away in an easy to customize interface.

Total Commander > Resco Explorer. (If only for having a way better name)

I would strongly suggest a backup utility is a must. However... If you want to learn the hard way as many of us did... You don't HAVE to backup. You can just hard reset in case of a problem and then reinstall all your cabs and mods.
Or...
You can just back up nightly.

Not sure what you mean here...

What description should you have paid attention to and why?

Ask away. If I can't help, I'm sure someone can. :)

if i even had a choice i'd say freeware all the way. i paid for spbBackup on the 1st Sprint HTC Touch (vogue) i bought. been using it ever since. it's too easy. and unlike Microsoft myPhone requires no web.

I use MemMaid.. but the 14 day trial is all i need to get the phone acting the way i need it to.

And back up software isnt really neessary when MyPhone exists. Now it'll back up EVERYTHING.. including ur contacts, texts, calendars, documents... Shiiiii even your storage card

The problem with myphone is the 200 meg limit. If they integrated it with skydrive's 5 gig limit then we would be onto something. But with that limit it is only good for contacts, calendar, and tasks (and I am even pushing the limit with just those).
