Fix for 2.5 Sense Messaging Lag?

Okay. So we all know that in the 2.5 Sense Messaging application that if you have a particular person who you have a lot of messages exchanged with, the system will lag like hell when you open that persons conversation and try to scroll through.

Well obviously this only happens when you have quite a few messages for one person.

My question is, is there a fix for this? Yes I could obviously disable the Sense Messaging and use the default one, however I love the 2.5 messaging app. It only lags on me with one particular person.

If anyone has a fix for it, I would REALLY appreciate it!

i dont think there is a fix for this seeing as that 2.5 was built for a snapdragon and not our 528mhz cpu....

Wirelessly posted (Sprint Touch Pro 2: Opera/9.5(Microsoft Windows; PPC; Opera Mobi/16643; U; en) HTC_Touch_Pro2)

an easy fix would be something that auto deletes messages over X days old.

It's called SMS Purger. You can set it to delete texts when they reach a certain amount of time they've been in the inbox. I guess HTC messaging is faster if you don't have a ton of texts so this will help.
