Seidio Sale!
1 Attachment(s)
I got an email from Seidio this morning. They have a sale through Nov. 30 with FREE SHIPPING site wide!
And 10% off Innocase Snaps, Innocase 360s and Desktop Cradles using the following coupon code: THANK10 I only post this here because I bought a Seidio case for my Sprint TP2 and I love it. It's slim (not adding too much bulk or thickness, much thinner than the snap cases off ebay) and it has a nice rubberized coating similar to the back of the Sprint TP2 battery cover. When I got my case shipping was $5, so this should at least save you $5!!! UPDATE: I've attached the a screen shot of the email, it clearly says the coupon code is THANK10, not sure why it isn't working for some people, FYI it's only applicable on certain items |
Re: Seidio Sale!
Even with the sale they're much more expensive than the same cases you can get for under $10 through amazon or ebay.
Plus, and I'll say this again and again, the one guy they have working in their "RMA" department is literally ALWAYS out to lunch. I've never had a good experience with their returns. Had a mogul a long time back, tried to return the mogul extended battery bc it was massively overheating, spent weeks trying to get hold of someone in returns for an exchange and NEVER got anyone. Their own receptionist never seems to know where the RMA guy is. |

(1) they're much thicker than the seidio case (2) the build quality isnt as good (3) they don't fit as well Basically you get what you pay for, but the seidio case is perfect for me, it fits my Sprint TP2 perfectly and its doesn't add much bulk so i can still fit it in the front pocket of my jeans. |
Re: Seidio Sale!
I tried the code and it didn't work. FYI

Re: Seidio Sale!
Why have a sale code if it only works for "certain" items and not tell the user?
Now, all I have to find is a stylus with a pen that fits the Sprint TP2, all the ones I've found don't. |

But I wish they had a stylus with a pen. I had a seidio one for my old palm centro, SO USEFUL! Anyone one know of other companies that make one? EDIT: right after I posted this I saw a thread about styluses with built in pens HAHA, but it looks like boxwave has ones only for GSM version, guessing that wont fit with the Sprint verison? |
Re: Seidio Sale!
You're right.
My suggestion, if you are going to order from Seidio, wait until their "new line" of accessories is announced. Seems they have a few coming, I'd just wait. Also, it says the extended battery shipping the week of 11/29. which week is that exactly as that's a sunday? I've been looking, can't find anyone yet who offers a stylus/ballpoint pen combo. I could sure use one of those as well. Still ordering cases from amazon though. |
Re: Seidio Sale!
OP, Could you post the link of the case you bought? I am looking for a case but I need one with a belt clip as well and thanks.

Re: Seidio Sale!
This is the case I got from Seidio:
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/csr2htp2s-bk.htm No belt clip, but you can buy a holster that fits the case: http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/bd2-hlcsr2htp2s-bk.htm Kinda pricey but worth it. The case is really nice. FYI I got this before: Blue Rubber Hard Case for HTC Verizon/Sprint off ebay by comparison the ebay case is HUGE, the sides just protrude out and make it hard to access the edges of the touch screen. It also weights more than the Seidio case. Also the Seidio case has a smooth back (no bump where the cases off ebay have to attached a belt clip) so I can put the phone level on its back on my desk. |
Re: Seidio Sale!
wait so the code only works @ certain times?

Re: Seidio Sale!

Re: Seidio Sale!
I spent as much on crappy cases and holsters as the Innocase and Holster while I was waiting for it to come out. Ive yet to see as perfect a combination as the Innocase and the holster that goes with it. The fit and finish is fantastic and I always know that my phone is completely protected but instantly available to me. Ive bought the cases for my last three phones. Ive had to exchange two of them just because I beat the hell of them. Both times it was free of charge. All my old phones look brand new when I take them out of the case when I retire them.
No I dont work for Seidio ) |
Re: Seidio Sale!
Thinking about buying the cmbo for my TP2 but since I have no experience with these types of holster/case storage, how secure is the phone in the holster regarding dealing with crowds in NYC where I live and if your phone is more exposed to someone who could easily grab it from the holster? Maybe a strange quesiton but thanks for replies.

Re: Seidio Sale!
I didn't get the holster with my case, but I had the combo for my palm centro and the holster works the same way for the TP2. It's REALLY secure, instead of just snaping on there is a spring loaded clip that securely holds your phone in the holster.

Re: Seidio Sale!
Do you thing the TP2 inside the inocase would fit inside a leather case such as the OEM case or some of the other cases and thanks?

I LOVE the Body Glove (I use just the back of it & put a clear case on the front), it really fills my hand & gives a MUCH better grip on the phone than the Seidio. That being said, the Seidio is what is on my phone now. I carry the phone in a number of belt cases (including a custom made Forte) & with the Seidio it fits in all of them basically the same as if it was "naked" With the Body Glove, it doesn't fit in any of them except for one old xv6800 case that was always a sloppy fit to begin with. ~John |
Re: Seidio Sale!
@John,
Thanks - maybe I will get the Innocase witha a leather belt case of some type. Do you place anything on the front of the phone when in the Innocase and thanks. Gary |

Re: Seidio Sale!
In the time that this thread has been going, I have ordered (and received) via amazon retailers about 3 cases:
a metallic blue one (hardcase) a black rubberized one a clear one. cost: $10.95 (excluding shipping) total cost: $16.95 (including shipping) The rubberized case is great, thin and doesn't occlude any buttons the blue metalic hard is great, snaps right on, still fits in my side holster, doesn't occlude any buttons the clear one, has to be my favorite. Completely clear, doesn't at all get in the way, only complaint is that it picks up smudges easily. I'm waiting on the smoke-colored case so far. yeah, Seidio is worth the wait. Not really. |

They are probably available somewhere else cheaper, but I had a discount coupon at the time so it was easier to just order right from them. ~John |

I think the seidio is overpriced (I don't thank ANY plastic case is worth $30) but I also think it is hands down the best case in terms of function. There is NO OTHER CASE that is as thin & light as the seidio (the seidio is as close as you can come to running with no case) ~John |

OP - how strong is the hoster? I have a bad habit of breaking the belt clips on holsters. Anyway, what is the warrantee like on the Seidio's? I had purchased one of the Verizon holsters when they were on sale for $15 -- I really liked it as it had a slight rubberized texture. But, I snapped it a few weeks ago as I got into a friend's car that is low to the ground. Anyway, I like the look of the inno surface case. I have already dropped my TP2 when I was coming down a set of stairs. I saw it bounce back in the air 1-2 feet after the initial impact. Made me sick but only 1 bad scratch on it and it is still working. My vx6800 would not have survived that drop... |
Re: Seidio Sale!
for those interested in using a case with a leather belt holster. best buy and various other retailers sell a leather HTC brand holster which is generic, but fits the tp2 well. It is not tight though, and has enough wiggle room that the phone would fit snugly with a plastic case on it. It also is magnetic vs the velcro of the TP, which is possibly the best part about it. The magnets are strong and it will not come loose unintentionally. I carry my TP2 with that holster, and an invisible shield full body protector.

I've had the case for a few weeks now, it's really nice and thin. Hasn't broken on me yet like the cheap ebay one I bought before. I also like the soft feel of the case, easy to grip. |
Re: Seidio Sale!
I bought a seidio case and holster about 2-3 weeks ago. People seen the case, liked the case, but couldn't fathom why I spent "all that money" on a phone case. Today, I dropped my TP2 screen down on the hard concrete from about 6-8 feet high. Not a single scratch. Seidio will have my money with every new phone I get.

Re: Seidio Sale!
