Coreplayer does not suppoer ac-3 any alternate ?

Dammit i have been using latest coreplayer for some time and most recently last 3 files i downloaded in avi formatt will not play with coreplayer ??

error: Audio codec (AC-3) not supported by the player (0108)

funny thing is i can play all of them on my pc and my dvd player they are avi files..

so i am guessing ac-3 is not built into coreplayer is there another player out there for WM 6.1 i am willing to pay for the app..

thanks

yea ac-3 isnt build into coreplayer because they didn't want to pay for the licensing. try tcpmp it's open source freeware so it might have ac-3 build in. (just google it, i think the latest build is 0.72)

TCPMP doesn't have support by default.

So, I attached a patched version of TCPMP with patched AC3 codec.

Should also work on 6.5, but I'm not 100% sure. Worth trying though.

Another version of TCPMP, if you are willing.

Try this one: http://www.mediafire.com/?lmdnzynnazu

With this codec pack: http://www.mediafire.com/?nkymyuwjmlt

If you want.

Re: Coreplayer does not suppoer ac-3 any alternate ?

Just drop them into Windows.

Did you uninstall the first one before installing this one?
Maybe the icon has been put into a category. Not sure of your roms programs layout. Mine has a multimedia folder, like the games folder. Maybe it's in there?

Maybe use file explorer>Programs>find it in there

Re: Coreplayer does not suppoer ac-3 any alternate ?

why not convert the file to mpeg4

try this program...thanksgiving special

Re: Coreplayer does not suppoer ac-3 any alternate ?

I was gonna suggest converting also, but that requires a whole other process. Yes, it would use less system resources though.

Well, that's strange man. Must not be working on newest WinMo builds.

I can only suggest trying DivX mobile at this point. My experience in the past was always pretty good with it. Still looking to see what formats are supported. I believe it does AC3 though!

Download DivX Mobile here:
Windows Mobile 6 Professional

Re: Coreplayer does not suppoer ac-3 any alternate ?

Thanks divx player read the avi file but no audio so i am guessing there in no AC-3 support for divx ??

ok i have converting software i will convert the movie to xvid or mp4 then i know it will work

thanks for helping i was thinking may be there could be another media player like coreplayer which will read ac-3 audio

thanks for all the help

Re: Coreplayer does not suppoer ac-3 any alternate ?

No problem.

Yeah, AC3 is pretty tough on the little processors in our phones. Next gen stuff will run it without issue. Not quite there yet!

I was having the same problem with ac3 but I found this version of tcpmp that plays it fine. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406905

Re: Coreplayer does not suppoer ac-3 any alternate ?

None of the options stated above work. Coreplayer will play a Xvid file fine but no audio (AC-3). Anyone find another fix for the touch pro2?

Re: Coreplayer does not suppoer ac-3 any alternate ?

The ac-3 audio works with TCPMP & Master Codec Pack 4 (WM6 Ultimate Edition).CAB but the video is scrambled like a PPV channel on old cable boxes.

TCPMP did pop up a msg saying FFMPEG is old but when I added the CODEC pack (TCPMP Master Codec Pack 4 ZIP Archive.zip) it did not solve the problem.

So AC-3 audio works... but how to get the video to work?

Re: Coreplayer does not suppoer ac-3 any alternate ?

By the way, the video works with CorePlayer but AC-3 does not

Re: Coreplayer does not suppoer ac-3 any alternate ?

I FOUND THE SOLUTION!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/arch.../t-275255.html

In TCPMP,
Go to OPTIONS -> VIDEO -> Select 'Raw FrameBuffer'

AC-3 Audio and Video for xvids now work!
