GPS problems

I was using GPS a lot yesterday traveling.
1. Phone started heating up a lot, maybe smelled funny too.
2. I cannot get google map or gps to lock my location.
Has this happened to anyone, should I ask verizon or htc to have my phone replaced?

yep, she's dead. i had to get a replacement.
