Disabling Sprint Hands free activation
 

I am running sprint stock rom on MetroPCS network and I keeps getting hands free activation and profile update.
Is there a way to disable sprint hands free activation and profile update screen?

Same for me, i have downloaded the extraclean ROM and i'm with Telus and it keeps popping me at startup. I wanna get rid of that !

Disable in registry under either HKLM-Services or HKCU-software-htc-bootlauncher

Thank you for the answer, but could you go more in depth? I don't want to brick my phone by tweaking the registry. Do i disable bootloader.exe under HKLM/init/bootloader.exe? Or what exactly am I looking for?

I have a Sprint Touch Pro 2. It has been GSM unlocked using Rhodium. Every time I boot the phone, I receive the following error:

Hands Free Activation
Your activation could not be completed. To try again select “Update Profile” from Start/Settings/System. If the problem persists, you may need to contact Customer Service.

Error Code: 1012


How do I get rid of this error? Detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the exact same issue using it on Cricket. Every boot.
Please give more detail on the registry edits.

well if you goto HKCU\software\htc\bootlauncher\apps\connectionsetu p\Module.. you see \windows\connectionsetupAuto.exe..

i would goto \windows and find connectionsetupAuto.exe and click on it first and see if this starts the Handfree Provisioning first.. if it does, then deleting said string should be ok in theory...

or change file name to ConnectionSetupAuto1.exe.. then the registry cant call the file to start because you added the "1" in the file name..
