Which App or Drv to install when TP2 is shipped unlocked??
 
I have a new business TP2, I called Sprint and they informed me that my unit was international - SIM unlocked.
I will be using a Sprint SIM card almost all of the time.

When given two options-
which version of software should be installed on this TP2 - CDMA or GSM?

side note - I tried my older cingular/at&t card from razr [GSM?]and I was able to make calls.

[Apologies for this nOOb q. - my start]

Also, will Hard-SPL disable my TP2's unlocked state? [me thinks not.]

anxious to get crackin' and moddin'

If they are putting you on their service & giving you the sim card (sim cards are CDMA), You will need cdma I beleive due to the sim card. But keep watching for others who post. I could be wrong.

Sim cards are not CDMA! Sim cards are for GSM networks.

However your phone is technically both, it is a CDMA phone and you would need to flash a CDMA rom only! Do not flash a GSM rom on your Sprint TP2.

My bad was under impression sim cards for for cdma only.

The Hard-SPL should not affect your TP2's "unlocked state" which is related to the phone's "radio". So don't mess around with any "radio unlocks".

And like santod said, you MUST use the CDMA roms on your SPRINT phone. If you try to use a GSM rom it could BRICK (aka kill, make dead) your phone. I have a Sprint TP2 and have flashed several CDMA roms with no ill effects.
