Help - Zoom Bar does not work in "Bottom Start" custom ROMs
 

I prefer the "Start on the Bottom" 6.5.1 ROMs with Manila 2.5.

I have not found on where the Zoom Bar actually works as a zoom.
In just about all of them, the zoom bar acts like an extension of the screen.

I've posted in the ROM threads but can't seem to find an answer.
I'm sure this is a known issue...

Since this seems to cross ROMs, I thought I would post out here and see if there is a FIX I can use...that way I can use the the rom I like best.

OR...anyone found a "Bottom Start" M2.5 rom where the zoom bar actually zooms?

Its a driver issue, if the chefs are using the Stock rom drivers they are missing one ;) ill make you a cab and you tell me if it works. i could be wrong but i have a hunch here.

Ok try this, no promises as i haven't had zoom bar issues but this is my blind attempt.

Install and reboot.

calkulins new kitchen fixes that problem. the one on his main page is the 1st version. v1.1 is still under testing. he release a test version in one of his threads, the test version has the zoom bar fixed. he should be releasing his kitchen today or tomorrw if you want to wait for the final version.

odd thats the exact driver im using on my rom to use the zoom bar,

must have to be cooked in.... but im asuming that thye are using the new TouchOption package and the old cdma drivers which are missing the "biotouch.dll" driver from them. with out this driver the zoom bar does not work. I left it out my first cook too since in the cdma EXT they place the driver in the touchflo pack. in the new 6.5 EXT they place it in oem drivers and touchoption only includes its self.

here is a theory, is there a biotouch.dll in your windows directory. and whats its file size. it may be the old 6.1 version.

Perhaps it just means that few people actually use the zoom bar at the bottom. I know I personally have used it once, maybe twice in the last 2 months.

file size. im curious if the rom has the old biotouch and settings for 6.1 in there

I am using NRG Photon build 38504 and biotouch is in there. My zoom does work. File size is 56832bytes

thats exactly why its not working.

can you go to Start > Settings > and tell me if you have "Touch Flo" or "Touch Options"

thats the correct driver. your good to go :)


ok if the OP wanst to give it another stab i can pack just the DLL in a cab but with out the Touch Options app i dont think ti will be called correctly. But make sure the file isnt there. make sure u have show all files selected.

TouchFlo is there....give me an option to change whether vibrate on taps

yep the rom your running has the wm 6.1 crap in it
nun u can do but recook or flash to a rom that has TouchOptions and the new bio touch

if u add my new biotouch.dll to the old TouchFlo it just kills ur screen.
