A cab to turn off Data Connection after 5 mins?

Anyone have a working cab that will turn off data connection if idled for 5 mins? Actually i don't really care for the exact mins, but i would like for my tp2 to turn off data connection after a certain amount of time. This would help reduce battery drain on the phone.

I've already tried Advance Config and HD Tweaks... Both of them show my selection of disabling data after a X amount of time, but after doing some testing, i realized that it doesn't work The settings are saved, but for some reason it doesn't turn off the data.

Not sure if this will help but you can try.

try this. i've tried to cab it in the past but got nothing but errors, so try to do the change manually:

Code:

HKLM\Comm\CommMgr\Planner\Settings\
Set "SuspendResume" to 58 00 00 00 33 00 99 00 88 00 39 00 58 00 39 00 29
Set "CacheTime" to 60

note that on 6.5 roms the data connection may still be displayed even if it is not connected. usually if it's greyed out it will still say connected but it's not.

I'm just saying this because HD Tweak worked for me. And be careful with advanced config it's not meant for CDMA phones. you might want to look up shaggy's 777 suspend resume fix it could solve you're problem

If it's greyed out, that means that it's idle, but still connected. In 6.5, there aren't idle icons by default so it sometimes appears as though it's constantly transferring. What the OP is referring to though is disconnecting the data session when it sits idle for 5+ mins. If someone finds a solution, it'd be great as I'd like it as well.

Re: A cab to turn off Data Connection after 5 mins?

I usually applied a similar tweak on my TP1, deleted suspendresume and set cachetime to 60, but it caused issues with answering the phone when data was running. As in, I couldn't do it without holding down the hardware talk button, hence disconnecting data. Resulted in many missed calls and frustration, dunno if it's the same on the TP2 haven't tried it.
