HSPL Problem?

My first touch pro 2 screen died so they sent me a new one.
I need to unlock it and this stupid LICENSE thing wont let me!
I knew I would have a problem with this, because I go through so many phones.

What should I do?

Edit: I mean other than emailing them for a request. Do I always have to do this BS now?

Well, you should PM cmonex or olipro at xda. Or you can email them through their site http://www.htc-unlocks.com/

I ran into something similar, went to the support link at the bottom - and filled in the ticket and within 24 hours the problem was resolved.

:preface for the people not reading ... some quick answers:
- our page on this Hard-SPL is always here: http://rhodiumw.htc-unlocks.com/hard-spl.php
- license: you will just have to run the program on the PC with phone connected, normally you will not notice anything about the licensing, it is totally free for personal use!
- if you need help with license issues (when it says you already unlocked a device), you can send your message at: http://support.htc-unlocks.com

besides emailing there is no way around it. the only other way would be to click the donate button (which is what you should do anyways because they had to spend countless hours making a free program) but i'm assuming you're looking for the cheapest way and that is to email them.

I did, very unhelpful, basically told me to pay for it!

Good luck everyone!

Now I stuck with this stupid Sprint ROM, because I can't use the unlocker.. FML

yeah, their system bones anyone that needs to get a replacement. the only way around it that i can think of may be to deactivate the phone from your carrier, clear the epst, and run it from a friend's computer... maybe

*edit* or donate :)

Re: HSPL Problem?

Once it fails because you have already activated a phone on that current IP address, it becomes blacklisted, and whether you move to another computer/network or not it will make no difference. Your IMEI will have to be whitelisted by cmonex. She is very helpful with this if you submit a support ticket on their website.

Key thing to remember, if you are getting a replacement phone, dial up a friend and use their system/network, and you will have no problems.

in my experience with the sim unlocker, i never got a response until about 4:30am est the next day
it took me about a week to resolve my issue because they probed me for everything but my blood type

so the sim unlocker that i already paid for isn't going to work either?? This is a bunch of bs if this is the case

probably not. what happened to me was i ran the unlocker but missed the "security unlock" checkbox. so when i tried to flash the hacked sprint radio, i got stuck in bootloader.
when i got my phone back to its functioning state, i tried to rerun the sim unlocker to hit that checkbox and i got a message saying "you've already unlocked. if, for some reason, you need to unlock again, please contact us."

this is a problem, because someone is suppose to be able to donate and not have to jump through the hoops. that should hopefully be resolved because i know sooner rather then later i will need a replacement and i would rather just donate then wait a week to get unlocked.

Re: HSPL Problem?

But then why make it free in the first place? so we can get a little taste and then have to buy it cause we have no other choice, this is pretty stupid if you ask me!

Edit: This thread wasn't intended to complain, nut now that I am seeing how this is going, I don't have a problem with it. You should get like at least three unlocks with the same phone.

What I don't understand is if you get one unlock per phone, I could still charge people to unlock their phones one time which is kind of pointless if you ask me, plus this is becoming more of a hassle for the people the just want to use it and not make money off it.

Re: HSPL Problem?

well i had the same issue but like someone said b4 don't bite the hands that feed you. the lat time they did it ppl stole their work and made money off their hard work so i respect them getting the licensing. also you can complain about the process but imagine being stuck with a stock rom then everyone would really be mad. It took me a couple days but she whitelisted my imei and i am up and running on 7ppc rom and loving it. friendly reply dont kill me pls.

Alksion 11-19-2009 01:47 PM

Re: HSPL Problem?

Its cool, no worries.

She whitelisted me too, but told me if ever again to just pay!

So everyone you basically get one replacement phone. :/
