Voice Recorder/Youtube & MP3 Trimmer not working after flasing???
 
Hey guys, I just flashed a rom and for whatever reason the Voice Recorder, YouTube App and MP3 Trimmer App cannot be opened now... I get an error saying they can't be opened, or missing cert, or untrusted, etc...

Has anyone seen this and is there a fix for it?

who rom, sounds like it was cooked incorrectly... with out certs, or nocerts isnt enabled in kernel.

It's my first rom, have done a lot of research to get to this point! hehe The rom works great, except for those three apps. How would I enable that in the kernel?

When I click on other options, the box that says "NoCert:" has the words "NOCERT" already written in it. Is that what you're referring to?

yes.

then what you have to do is go to the tools folder in the rom that u got the packages from that are not working. find the certs folder and copy over the certificates to those packages to your kitchens certs folder. and if that fails ur packages are corrupt.

I just tried using the rom tools included with the kitchen to patch the payload with the no cert file and it seemed to have gone through then I cooked and flashed the new rom but the apps still didn't work. So I just copied the certificates for these packages to my certs folder and cooked the new rom.

And the verdict is...? Still not working... And the certificates for these packages came from a working kitchen/rom. I'm stuck on this one.

Is the Voice Recorder available as a cab file from anywhere do you know?

Juggalo I have a question, I dumped a stock ROM and then recooked it as it, just to make sure that my kitchen was working and yet still the programs mentioned above failed to run after recooking and installing the stock ROM without making any changes to it...

Any ideas what might be happening with those files? Would there be some security on them that disables them?

i have never had a stock rom not dump and recook properly in VK :S

that makes no sense at all. are the apps that error included in the rom u dumped?

Yes those three apps are part of the original rom, I know makes no sense to me at all either... I guess I will try to dump the stock rom once more and start from scratch with a new kitchen file as well.

what OS are you running, and check your build log do you see any errors in it.

I am using Windows 7 on my laptop.

Ok so I just did a fresh dump, re-cooked the stock rom and everything worked perfectly. Not sure what the problem was the last time around... Something wasn't working right including those three apps. After removing certain files from the stock rom and cooking and flashing that rom, those three apss stopped working. It seems they are dependent on something that I am removing from the rom. Just not sure what... Going to put back certain files and basically single out the problem... Ugh!!

***It was the SampleMusic package that these other programs are dependent on, the apps are all working now***
