tarkim's Rhodium Keyboard Controller - Updated to version 1.4

An FYI for all you Rhodium Keyboard Controller users. This handy-dandy little tool has been updated from version 1.3.2 to 1.4. See the OP by tarkim over at XDA:

Be sure you grab the right one...CDMA vs. GSM.

Version 1.4:
+ Shift/Caps modifier support
+ Triple click
+ Multiple actions for each event (in other words, each event has actions sequence now)
+ Repeatable actions on press & hold for long press, double click and triple click
+ Configurator user interface localization support
+ Default key action can now emulate other key
+ Direct key mapping got modifiers
* Fixed problems with default key action, added option "Extended emulation" - it should be used only when emulation of selected key doesn't work
* Fixed FN modifier behaviour on remapped key
* Key emulation now allows to specify key code manually (e.g. if you can't find needed key in list)
* Fixed some items in key code selection combobox, added "VK_ACTION" modifier

Note: If you caught this thread earlier where it had a warning that the new version 1.4 was forcing phones into landscape mode after a soft reset, it was because tarkim had upload the wrong versions of the cab over at xda. This has since been corrected and version 1.4 is now okay to use.

bump...the landscape issue that the original 1.4 cabs were causing over at xda has been resolved. Incorrect versions (Raphael) were uploaded by mistake. You can now download the correct 1.4 cabs...just follow the link in post # 1.

So I reassigned a double click end to close dat aconnection. and long press to start psShutxp. But now my end key doesn't end a phone call. I have set single click to default key action. How do I get the end key to end a call again?

try setting it to emulate a key press then choose end key

It is a no go. Now when I assigned the end key it was called ENDz [68]. But when I pick end key from emulate key press it is key code 35. Should it be 68 instead which is assigned to the D key?

I'd probably delete the End Key emulation you've set up and try assigning your original action (end data connection) to a less sensitive key. It's possible that there is a slight delay as the controller tries to detect if you're actually pressing a double or triple click, and that is not playing well with the OS when it comes to the End Key specifially, and the real use of that key.

I know I had similar problems trying to reassign the Home key and it no longer performing it's original action. I ended up deleting the mapping and mapping the action to a different key.

Can you recommend keys that it would cause less problems for.

I've remapped the long-press BACK key successfully. I'm guessing you don't want to pull out the keyboard, so you're pretty limited ;)

Can you please explain how you should map a key and keep original function? This post talks about doing a do not map then then mapping the key. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...7&postcount=10
