They receive the screen shots from the developer, and it has to go thru an approval process before its allowed on the Marketplace. So i dont see exactly why they would remove it at all.

Microstuffed is starting to crack down on piracy these days. So I wouldn't be surprised if this gets changed.

Did you guys hear about the Xbox live crackdown that's happening? Or the new piracy measures going into the newer Marketplace update. After being hacked very quickly.

Nov . 11, 2009

Anywhere between an estimated 600,000 and 1 million players who use Microsoft's Xbox Live gaming service will be cut off from the service because they have modified their game consoles or played games that were illegally downloaded from file-sharing sites, according to the company.

"All consumers should know that piracy is illegal and that modifying their Xbox 360 console violates the Xbox Live terms of use, will void their warranty and result in a ban from Xbox Live," Microsoft said in a statement Wednesday.

Microsoft Already made their money when we bought the phone. By adding a newer build, we really arent messing with their pockets, and they can use us as a testing ground.

Xbox is VERY different. Every game they sell makes back money they lost with selling and repairing consoles. By stopping pirates, they help to increase their profits and sell more games.

You cant compare apples to oranges. Period.

On another note.. I am almost COMPLETELY sure that there will be a problem with 6.5.1 and Windows Phone 7. These will be available as paid upgrade to current 6.5 phones that can handle them. Since this would interfere with a revenue stream, i dont expect them to take 6.5.1/7 experimentation lying down.

I firmly believe MS benefits from this community however it is in there best interest to distance them selves.... so once someone who recognizes those screen shots catches on they'll be replaced.

I also have always known that Microsoft benefits from this community and what we all do.

How else could they Alpha or Beta test their new versions and updates with so many different devices, by so many users, without having to supply an ounce of support for any of it. Not to mention, the bugs they get help fixing, by many of the intelligent members in these types of forums. Meanwhile, getting feedback on what works well, what doesn't, what people want, or could care less about, feature wise.

I think they benefit from it greatly, possibly more then we do! LOL!!
